Looking like a very sweet pick, TB ... nice start to the season, my friend.
Your QB Rating is gonna be extremely high as well ... wow, what a game for Manning.

I meant to make my pick at midnight, but fell asleep! When I woke up, I was relieved to see that you picked Brady.  Thanks for that!   ;)  I may not win the first week (Peyton got off to kind of a slow start in the game) but it will be respectable.

Since I have no idea how a QB Rating is figured, I just ignore that figure!   :-[

It's a pretty involved equation, but trust me, it's going to be extremely high at this point ... along with seven TDs and 451 yards so far. Wow.

Manning with 460 qualifying yards and a 141 QB Rating, unofficially ... this weeks game is probably won before it's barely started.

What a start, TB ... wow!

After spending a couple months in Colorado, and trying to play tennis, I have utmost respect for altitude. I was a three minute wonder at tennis...then I thought I was dying.  (No cracks please.) It is my opinion that it takes an enormously inhuman effort for anyone who plays at sea level to compete in a cardiovascular activity at altitude.  The high altitude team (player) has to have a really off night to lose.  I really don't understand how they can not be at least .500 teams every year!  Seriously!  It takes 4 - 6 weeks to acclimatize to altitude. Oxygen from a bottle does not do it, and adrenaline doesn't do it.  I love Denver teams.

Highest QB rating since Jan 2010, you're likely a winner, but I understand and I'll retract it along with a TP for good measure.

nevermind - had a great pic of Orson Welles saying 'we shall pick no winner before their time' but dang site won't let me post the picture  >:(

At least TB is old enough to get the reference  ;D

** Still missing some regulars from last year, (RebusRankin, Ronaldo943, GreenFaith1819), and a few others ... hope you folks are still with us! (Don't let TBs exemplary performance from last night discourage you ... some points are better than none, and you don't want to get behind in the standings. Plus, miracles do still happen from time-to-time ... though they usually happen to TB, haha!). **

Come on, guys.  If you are planning to join, don't wait.  Yards are cumulative.  A missed week won't disqualify you, but it sure makes it harder to compete.  And it is a fun game.

(Besides, you are not afraid of the challenge of a sweet little old lady, are you?   ;) ... ??? Who, you ask.  Me, that's who! >:()

Still plenty of time to get in a pick this week!

I have no idea how this works, how it's scored or anything, but I'll give it a shot.

I'll go with my main Man(ning), Eli.

Awesome to have you with us (TP) ... it's just total offensive yardage each week, and you can pick any player who hasn't been picked by anyone else yet.

QB Rating gets TPs each week as well, and plays a small part in playoff seeding in the post-season, but it's total yardage, so a QB's passing yards are added to his rushing yards, (which can sometimes be a negative number, as with Peyton Thursday night), and that's the qualifying number.

Of all the Pick-A-Player games we have, this is probably the one where it's most important to not miss a week ... it's not crucial or required, but some yardage is better than none, and it's hard to make up even a 200-yard defecit.

Your total at the end of the regular season will determine your seeding for the playoffs, and that determines the order in which we pick each week in the post-season.
