ANNOUNCEMENT: Somehow or another, I just discovered, a Shaq vs. Hakeem debate that belongs in this thread, spilled over into an old Shaq thread. THIS GAME IS MEANT TO STAY RIGHT HERE, IN THIS THREAD!!! I will not tolerate discussions, or worse, full out arguments over players on your teams making their way out of this thread.

I dont think that discussion had anything to do with this thread.

It was if shaq could perform in the league today.

It was about that but after this draft started it became something a bit different. It was nothing bad, but, to me, it's not just a coincidence that in a Hakeem vs Shaq discussion in that thread, you are on team Hakeem and GF was on team Shaq.

Best just to have those conversations here, so I don't have to go around to all the different threads getting threads back on subject because this game is getting involved in other areas of the site, which it shouldn't be.

Fair enough.

It really spiralled away from shaq and got turned into shaq versus player a.

Now its hakeem versus robinson.

No one's trying to spin the topic into that lol. I pulled out a stat in response to what Moranis said about matchups, not to belittle the players of other participants.

Let's just keep everything in here. If another thread opens up about a possible famous player, let's all try to avoid posting in it until this game is over. I don't think that is asking too much.

So from a Detroit perspective they traded 3(8 ), 4(5) and 6(5) for 3(1), 4(12) and 8(10).

That is a bunch of value to move up 7 spots to get your guy. Hope he is worth it.

Wow who's left in the draft that warrants such a package?  It'll definitely be interesting to see who they pick.

He will be. For me at least.

He's the only guy on my board for this round, and I'm glad I will get him. A guy who I think will be an absolute tremendous fit next to Kawhi and Hondo.

Agreed to this offer because I myself am not too concerned with the drop-off between pick 1 and pick 3 in the next round, but with my lack of a 5th rounder I jumped at the chance to move up in the 4th.

And Yoki definitely gets his guy! Win-win IMO

It also doesn't hurt to have pick 3 and 4 in this round. If I were you, given what high 3rd rounders are getting, I would look to maybe move down again in the third for possibly moving your 6th rounder into a low 5th rounder

If I were able to have a late night tonight I likely would do something like that, but I should probably be asleep in the next 20 minutes or so sadly.

Darn these timezones!

Good job Yoki, I wonder if it’s the same person I think would be an amazing fit for your team.  I will see after you pick.
