Curry with 18 points in the 3rd.  I know we can always play better def, but when there are so many options on off, it is hard to just leave your man completely to get a hand in Curry's face just so he can still hit the shot.

Impossible no win defensive situation.  If you try to deny curry the ball, welp you still have Durant, Thompson, Green.

Solving the Warriors is above my paygrade.

Still don't miss Smart. Curry is the greatest 3-point shooter of all time, if he's on he's on. Nobody on earth is gonna stop that.

This is just crazy talk, especially after what Smart has done on these types of offensive superstars in his career (remember Harden earlier this season?).

Sure, but I'm still not convinced. Rozier is no slouch on defense. It's easy to say "No Smart = Curry lighting it up", but are we forgetting what Curry does to defensive superstars too?

Rozier has certainly improved defensively, but he still can't hold Smart's jockstrap defensively.

And, the Currys and Hardens of the world are Smart's absolute specialty, because they're not super quick or athletic. They get past their defenders with their crafty ballhandling, fakes/moves, and quick first step, which plays very well into Smart's elite BBIQ defensively. He reads perimeter defenders as well as any defender that I've seen, and his added size, length, and physicality is something that he provides above and beyond this.

Smart is a lot better than Rozier on defense.  Smart is one of the best defenders in the league at the guard spot.  Terry Rozier isn't near that.

I know some can't believe it, but he also can pass and would help us there a lot.  He also has had some good shooting games lately.  He is missed.

If you think so, that's cool. I can understand if it was some scrub killin the C's but this is the greatest shooter in history. You just gotta live with that, and make someone else kill you.

Nothing like Al holding it for 15 seconds then taking a tough turnaround/fadeaway jumper.

Exactly. That's why Wall torched him last playoffs but shutdown Beal. Plus Smart's ability to fight through screens is what makes him really good against Curry.

He's never had a bad game ever I guess.

I don't get he argument a way better defender wouldn't help but okay.

As long as we don't lose by 10+, I'll be pleased honestly.

I really appreciated the part where the other four just stood around and watched him...great start to a quarter.
