What ever happens in Game 7, the Celtics are winners. I am proud to be a Boston Celtic supporter.

We will win game 7 because we are the better team.

Today I feel really good about the Celtics...and, according to rumors in the Globe, I am thrilled that they are talking about bringing back the core for another run!  We may have lost the Championship this year, but we were not beaten.  There IS a difference.  Next year we have even more incentive to win #18...to keep the Lakers from tying for most wins (although they still have a way to go in head-to-head matchups).  I can hardly wait for next year!

David Stern is 67 not much longer and he will be DEAD. Hows that for optimism?

Don't get me wrong I wish no ill will toward anyone that age, but for David Stern I am hopeing he goes quick and painfull. All other 60+ year olds may you live long and prosper.

EDIT: Thirsty have a TP since you lost yours in the bet also. Sorry again.

Well, females live longer ;)

BTW it's nice to have here more experienced fans that actually were around during the Russell era.

My husband said to tell you that when he was a preteen he shook hands with Bill Russell's..........fingers!  To this day he still talks about how big Russell's hands seemed, and how awestruck he was!

Looks like some people in LA tried to destroy the city after the Lakers "win". Too bad they came up short  ;D

I can't believe they almost won it again this year, and knowing they'll have a good chance to make a run at it again next year with most of the same team is incredible.

Very early.  Still plenty of time to do something.

And even if we don't, the C's could conceivably improve through a number of internal ways:

-Rondo's continued development
-KG recovering further from his knee issues
-a full year of figuring out how to fully utilize Nate
-Avery Bradley showing why he was rated above John Wall coming out of high school
-Jermaine O'Neal blossoming as the 5th option on the floor and forcing other teams to either let him dominate or give the other 4 starters more room to operate.

Of course none of those things could happen, but this is the "feel good" thread.

Time to bump this thread, so us "out-of-touch-with-reality" optimists have a place where we can come and spew our sunshine without fear of reproach. (Deja vu) ;)

I see there are a lot of Baby threads today. Yes, he may not be an NBA starter but that is not what we need from him. We need his 12 points off the bench. He's still young and I think he'll continue to improve. Also, are people forgetting how many of our guys are injured? I'm not using this as an excuse but I think if any other NBA team had had the kind of injuries we've had, their record would be worse than ours. The Bulls game was the eigth game in just 12 days. We've been a pretty good basketball team even without KG. The Celtics hold the best record in the East, second best record in the league. I think we are (and will continue to be) alright. When Delonte comes back, when Perk comes back teams will not look forward to meeting us. We'll have so many offensive and defensive weapons that teams will be very frustrated when they face us. Like I said, I think we're doing alright.

Go Celtics!
