Seeing what I've seen out of Michael Finley has to make me think:

"What the hell was Popovich thinking letting Keith Bogans get 20 MPG and all of Finley's minutes after Finley came back from injury?"

I hate Tony Allen's game.

That said, I can't believe I am about to type this, if Tony plays within himself and the way he has been for most of this year, he deserves another contract.

I STILL can't believe I just wrote that!!!

Ha! I was thinking Tony deserves an extension based on this year's work as well. He is really turning into a nice energy/garbage man. A solid 2nd wing off the bench - just so long as the 1st wing can shoot.

OK! I'm getting ready for Glories Last Shot.

1. Ray Allen is a FA this summer and I doubt he would take a big pay cut to stay here.

2. Pierce can opt out this summer as well. But I doubt he will do that. I also question if he will be extended.

3. KG's knees and Sheed's Attitude are still on the books for two more years. But both are motivated right now.

4. It is Rondo's team in the future. That might not work out to our advantage.

5. We'll have to rely on Baby and Perkins more at the C-PF spots in the future. That is not enough.

6. Half the rest of the team is free agents and the other 6 players under contract exceed the salary cap. That kills your depth and we do not have draft picks to back fill for open roster spots. Not good to have no depth and an aging workforce.

7. The rest of the league is getting younger, faster, bigger, and stronger.

Yep, those are the reasons all my chips are in the middle of the poker table with the K-Q of spades and the flop (1st two playoff rounds) to come. Good luck with this one.

All are legitimate concerns, but there are plenty of other threads to discuss those.  This is the "pep rally" thread.

I'm not worried as long as we can stay healthy going into the playoffs. Manu Ginobili had some questionable fouls against Kevin and Paul last night, after which I couldn't really take the rest of that game seriously though he did score in the upper 20s...either way a loss is a loss however I still have plenty of faith in this team.

I have to agree with the "as goes Rondo, so goes the team" argument. Well, as long as everyone else looks healthy because Rondo was dominating earlier in the season and it lead to losses because he wasn't getting a lot of help because of the Big 3's health. When Rondo is wheeling, driving, and dealing, this team is at their best.

He seems to base his effort around who the opposing pg is. He takes the Deron Williams and Chauncey Billups matchups seriously, but I don't know if we saw the same effort vs. George Hill.
