C'mon folks! Some optimism!
Smart is going to be a miniature KG. his attitude will result in relentless action and dedication. He gives you everything in him every play and will be a terror on defense. We will love him....positively.

Turner will listen and learn and flourish as sixth man under CBS.

Olly will continue to be the best basketball player with a ponytail in the nba.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts...
Zeller is tall, Wallace will be gone (somehow, sometime), Rondo will show Nowitzki-esque unselfishness and sign a non-max 5 year contract, the re-building will be over one day, and
most important of all LAL will remain the most LOL team in the NBA for a loooong time. Amen.

Despite the terrific meltdown against OKC, there's still a lot of positives. Seasons aren't made or broken in 1 or 2 games. Trends spanning several games are more telling.

This is especially true for a young team like this.

Jeff Green looks aggressive, despite an off night, he still grabbed a decent amount of rebounds and a decent amount of points.

Rondo looks amazing. Shot looks great, probably an effect of losing the screws.

Smart looks huge.

A bit of a mixed bag so far for Stevens's system, but far more positives. You know he's going to make tweaks.

And once the players become even more used to their roles and learn when to step up, I fully expect less downtime on both ends (seems to be our primary problem). This team can put opponents through 48 minutes of hell.

Losing against OKC's role players sucks. But looking at the big picture, I'm still ecstatic. Signs are pointing up.

I dare say this team is already better than they were at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, to people on the optimism thread, don't lose hope! This team is young and they'll fall, but it's when you fall is where you learn to fly!  :D

Anyone?

In December we play the Pistons, Lakers, Hornets, Knicks, Sixers, Wolves, and the Magic twice (and other games). It's a 180 in terms of difficulty of schedule from November.

This is really all we can cling to.

If this team limps through December as well, it'll be depressing on these forums.

It is still basketball? 3 Close Quarters and the rug is pulled out.  But there is hope until the other teams decide to play.   This has kept many of the games fun to watch.

Is Marcus Smart the answer to all of our problems? By the standards of this thread, YES!

Is the rug pulled out or does the team toss banana peels under its feet for the 4th quarter?

We are an awful team. We talk how close we were in those games, but actually we couldn`t win even if the games lasted for a whole night, not just 48 min. I don`t know what is Dany up to, but we are as bad as we are at the moment. That`s how it is.
