Despite the terrific meltdown against OKC, there's still a lot of positives. Seasons aren't made or broken in 1 or 2 games. Trends spanning several games are more telling.
This is especially true for a young team like this.
Jeff Green looks aggressive, despite an off night, he still grabbed a decent amount of rebounds and a decent amount of points.
Rondo looks amazing. Shot looks great, probably an effect of losing the screws.
Smart looks huge.
A bit of a mixed bag so far for Stevens's system, but far more positives. You know he's going to make tweaks.
And once the players become even more used to their roles and learn when to step up, I fully expect less downtime on both ends (seems to be our primary problem). This team can put opponents through 48 minutes of hell.
Losing against OKC's role players sucks. But looking at the big picture, I'm still ecstatic. Signs are pointing up.
I dare say this team is already better than they were at the beginning of the season.
