Maybe Boston Fans Aren’t The Most Spoiled?

(1/1)

JSD:
Is it possible metropolitan Bostonians are not the most spoiled fanbase? The Bay Area is on the verge of surpassing Boston as the more successful pro sports metropolitan area of the decade.

Bay Area:
SF Giants - 3-0 World Series
49ers - 0-1 Super Bowls
Warriors - 3-1 NBA Finals (4-1?)
Sharks - 0-1 Stanley Cup Finals (1-1?)

Boston:
Red Sox - 2-0 World Series
Patriots - 3-2 Super Bowls
Celtics - 0-1 NBA Finals
Bruins - 1-1 Stanley Cup Finals (2-1?)

The Sharks and Warriors are still alive in their respective 2019 playoff runs. The 2019 baseball season in underway, while the football season for this year has yet to begin. It’s going to come down to the wire.

Edited.

KGs Knee:
The Bay area has 6 teams to Boston's 4

Also, some of those teams have competing fan bases

Okay, so let’s just call it San Francisco, and include San Jose in the same way we included New England or Foxboro as Boston.

JSD:
San Jose to San Francisco is roughly the same distance between Foxboro to Boston. Both under 50 miles

SCeltic34:
Would you give more weight to the Super Bowls, given that football is the most popular sport in the US?

Edit, misread the total count.  Still yet, New England's football dominance is astounding.  Might argue that New England/Boston still comes out ahead even if the Warriors win again this year, as dominant as they have been themselves.
