Didn’t see a thread dedicated to Drummond, apologize if I missed it.

Seems like the Cs may be in the lead? They must be offering him a big role, which I’m not sure how I feel about especially with how well Timelord is playing.

That said, I see some benefits:

1. Beating the Lakers at something since they want him
2. If it relocates TT to third string and Drummond/Timelord split center minutes that’s a strong center rotation.
3. With his rebounding he can clean up the 3 pt bricks/prevent second chance points, which have both been problems.

Thoughts?

I think it’d be a great get if we land Drummond. Your team stinks if he’s your best or even 2nd best player. He’ll be our team’s 4th or 5th best player.

His talent level is high but it’s his focus that’s been his problem.

Woj reporting we have a great chance.  He wants to play,  met with celtics today.

Drummond
Tatum
Brown
Fournier
Kemba

Smart/Timelord

Now that's a real playoff rotation.

He could be a good fit here. I won’t hate it, I just hope he doesn’t take minutes from Timelord. If he takes TT’s totally fine.

It would be a pretty amazing pick-up and make up for throwing Theis away for nothing.

Like others, I am a huge TL fan, as well; but I am beginning to think he is going to get PAID in FA. If we can keep his minutes down and possibly extend him this summer for a reasonable number, that would be ideal. I hate to see what kind of interest he gets in RFA in 2022.

Drummond would obviously be a short-term thing since we wouldn't be able to sign him for more than the taxpayer MLE. He would do great in his role here - he is much better than he is given credit for.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he takes TT’s minutes. TL is a wonderful change-of-pace player but I honestly question if he can play big minutes. Not a knock on him though. I’ll take a TL going full bore, jumping all over the place and burning out in ~20minutes rather than a TL who “tones it down” to play 36minutes.

I don't think there's much of a difference between TT and Drummond, I'd much rather have Otto Porter Jr from the buyout market.

Don’t see why we’d be interested stud in this guy. Unless they want to phase out TT completely. At this point wish we had just kept Kanter.

Is Porter getting bought out?

I think there’s a very large difference between Thompson and Drummond.  I don’t think that he’ll pick us though.

Big, lumbering, back to the basket, power-types don't seem to particularly flourish with Brad (Kanter and Monroe come to mind).

I don't think there is any chance he will sign with us, and I won't be that disappointed.

Great shot at getting him. Open position for him to come in and help a top team win the championship.

Let’s go !!!
