We're already missing Smart's playmaking and continuity with the starters.

His contributions in the Magic game were so worth it.
Can we drop the magic game already. Smart could easily have gotten hurt in the first few mins of this game.

Sure, if those two games were in any way analogous, but they're not.
Please go check what pretty EVERY other coach did in the second to last game.  And the issue is that smart got hurt.

I don't give an F what every other coach did, as their situations are all different. It didn't make any sense whatsoever to play any of our regular guys over the last two games, as there was literally no benefit to it and only risk. Amazing how people can bury their heads in the sand and put the blinders on all to absolve Brad of this clear mistake.

If only Brad didn't play Hayward the 1st game last season we would've won the whole thing last year!!! ::)

Yeah, this is what they call reductio ad absurdum, a logical fallacy. The fact that people can't make an argument to protect Brad for this decision without committing a logical fallacy kind of highlights exactly how it was a costly mistake on his part.

Someone give GH a kick in the pants.... we do not need kick out threes when you have a breakaway easy basket.

He keeps aborting drives before he ever gets close to the rim. Not a good sign. Hopefully he figures it out.
I think Brad told him that during the break

Um, Giannis played that game too.  Meant even less got them.  You can’t single out brad for being an idiot when he did what every other coach does.

must coaches suck that is why they get fired.

Including the guy that NBA coaches voted as coach of the year?

makes sense if you believe that most coaches suck then their choice would obviously suck.

Sure. If you start with the idea that you know better than all the coaches in the NBA, every decision by them is dumb
I'm bitter.

PACERS bring Sabonis off the bench..... now that is thinking out the box no one will accuse Brad Stevens of ever doing that.

Brad never thinks outside the box? What?

name one move outside the box.... dude could not even bench Hayward to start season.

Was starting Gerald Green against the Bulls 2 years ago "in-the-box" thinking?

moves you make when you have no choice do not count, that belongs to the Doc Rivers school of forced adjustments.

How was that a "forced" adjustment? Because we were playing poorly and had to make a change, therefore any change (no matter how out-of-the-box) is standard?

Do you only count adjustments if your team is already doing well?

I give more credit to proactive rather than reactionary moves.

It sounds like you only give credit to proactive moves (or moves made by people not named Brad Stevens)

love Brad, but come on man...so many ways he could have gone out the box with the talent he  has on this  team

Hayward looking spry.  Easily our second best player once he’s fully back.

What if Smart had been hurt in game 80 instead of game 81? He should have sat that one, too. Or game 79? Should have sat there. And obviously game 78.

Hell, he should have sat all year to make sure he stayed healthy. I'm sure he would have LOVED that
Not only that, but why are any of these guys practicing?!?  Sit them down or else they might get hurt.

Reductio ad absurdum. Try arguing without utilizing logical fallacies for once.  ::)

Rozier is straight up pure TRASH. Wish he would simply walk out of the Garden right now and never don the Celtic uniform again
