I hadn't heard this.  He's still keeping his status "unretired" officially but he has a job on the Memphis bench.  He mentioned the McKie and Van Horn scenarios and that seems to be his best shot at getting signed as this point though.

Former flashy Sacramento and Miami point guard Jason Williams wants the NBA to reinstate him so he can play again. ... Look for buyouts for Bobby Jackson, Chucky Atkins and Stephon Marbury this week . .

If not Marbury, would Chucky be a good fit as the backup point guard for this team? The one worrying thing about Atkins is that one of his biggest strengths, his jumper, has apparently been off all year.

Well, I'm one of the "we don't need a backup pg" guys, but to be honest, Pruitt is looking worse and worse, and it's obvious Eddie is much better as a 2. But that list is not very impressive.
Better IMO to go with what we have and play Rondo 40+ mpg in the playoffs.

I actually thought about Mighty Mouse the other day when that "Retired Player's" thread was started. Thought he could possibly be in the argument.

I like the idea of Bobby Jackson.  I do think we need a PG over another wing -- it is brutal to watch House play the point, dribbling his way into a corner.  He is so much more effective as a 2.  This is based on casual observation, of course, no stats to back any of this up!
Celtics fan for life.
