Title: What position will your myplayer play in nba 2k16?
Post by: DrJasper on July 27, 2015, 12:40:57 PM
First of all I assume that we all want to play for the C's...  ;D

And I really hope Danny balances out the roster a bit till October!

Positions of need are obviously center and small forward, I prefer to create a player with my actual height so I will create a 6'6" defensive small forward and beg the ownership to trade for a Center (in 2k15 they actually acquired Blake griffin  :o )

So what player are you planning to create? And are you excited for 2k16?

If i create a player with my height then i`ll play the guy who`s filling the water caps ! :D

Usualy i create a 6ft defensive pass first pg but i`m thinking about playing center this time

I usually make two different players to fit two different needs.

I make one player that is my actual height 6'3". I try to mold him into a pass first pg that focuses on defense and has a questionable 3pt shot. (Kinda molded off rondo)

My other player is designed to dominate in the park and the rec with my friends. I make a center that is max height (height is only a positive on the park, otherwise I would probably choose 6'10 or 6'11 for story sake) which usually ends up being 7'2 or 7'3. Focus on athleticism, defense, scoring inside (alley oop finisher), rebounding and mid range spot up scoring. Again the primary goal is the park, so this doesn't really tend to be realistic. It is fun to have a world beating center on the celtics tho. I try to play within stevens system, except on my current one. They fired (or didn't resign) stevens, and hired Derek Fisher (man I hate 2k AI sometimes.)

I always put myself on a team with the biggest PG need so I could start lol. I kept my height and weight legit at 6' 182lbs and also based my game ratings on my play (of course its vs low competition as I never went NBA or pursued college ball). So example based on my earlier days was only 60 dunk as I could dunk but best dunk was half windmill or sky dj Brown. 70 ratings across the board except steals, rebounds, free throws, layups, passing and inside 15' cause I was really good at those so them are like 80 rating. I had a great post game and taught kids around the park on how to play the post despite my size. I could easily play guys up-to 6'5 in the post after that my game suffered (the hook shot can only get over so much height and athletism) .

6'11'' PF/C rim protector with a killer post game, back-to and face-up skills and a good roller to the basket!  something comparable to KG.

i look forward to this every year, and they keep improving MyPlayer with every edition.  I was pleased with the fact that getting to the Celtics was so much easier on 2K15 than the song and dance you had to do to be a celtic in 14.  My Player started off undrafted on the Hornets, then signed to the Celtics after the season was over.  i won one championship with the C's on 2k15, waiting for 2k16 to play again.

I skipped 2k15 this year, but might go with 2k16 depending on what features they have.

I usually make a 6'8" 250 lb SF

since myplayer came out, I've tried all 5 positions, and find Centers and PF pretty boring storyline wise and I wanted to make a player similar to LeBron but want to destroy LeBron. SG and SF are my two favorite positions to create

I alwaaaays create a 6'3" 220 lb PG! I like being a ball hog and score all the points for the team I'm playing on  ::)!
I'm definitely going to get the new game this year as I've heard that they have incorporated following college teams to the game;
- Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, UConn, Villanova and Wisconsin (Davidson have been rumored too).

It seems like our MyPlayer user is going to start off in the NCAA at first, so that's going to be fun to try ;D!

Yes! And they will finally bring back the draft process with summer league and everything!
I hope they also bring back the pre draft interviews and the gm sitdowns

That makes me even more excited then ;D! It could also be fun if they decided to bring back the D-League as well. Thought it was a good idea when they introduced it for the first time!

If I get a next-gen console for free at some point this year, same as my 2K13 character: 7-foot athletic C/PF with reliable floor spacing capability.

Still undecided if I'm picking the game up, but if I do, I'm thinking of exploring either being an SF or an SG and becoming a scorer with a killer mid range (Paul Pierce? Lol).

In previous years, I generally chose a 6'3" athletic, defense-first PG who can steal and block shots.

Nothing wrong with this thread, reads like good fun.
But dos it not belong to another section of the forum?
This section is reserved for news/analysis/comments on the actual C's team.
