With the "Prematurely Declare this season is over" thread arising, I thought it would be nice to bring up this thread.

As mad as I am with how we have played in the last few games, I am still not ready to throw in the towel yet.

Once the playoffs starts...as KG always says..."Anything is Possible".

And I have no doubt that if everyone (mostly shaq) is healthy and with everyone bringing their A-game, we will be very hard to beat.

Go C's!

In the playoffs, I will take 3 wins in a row and one stinker out of every 4 games....rinse repeat.

Do it Celtics.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I question the players' take of the importance of HCA and the meaning of the last couple weeks of games. Aside from the Spurs game, I haven't seen a real interest in any of the games we've played recently, including the ones we've won. Let's face it--none of these are "must win" games until the playoffs. By losing to Chicago or Miami, it doesn't mean we're out of the playoffs or can't compete with the upper echelon teams. Aside from Dallas, we've beat them all, and I like our chances still against any team in a best of seven series. I like our chances even more when the veterans know that each game counts and there's no taking plays off--which is not the feeling I've had over the last few weeks of the regular season. We're all 0-0 starting next Saturday, the season that really counts. I for one have not given up hope!

I'm very optimistic about the play-offs... It will be a hard climb, but at the end, Cs will be on top...

Still very optimistic about the playoffs although I must admit I'm less confident about Rondo's ability to step up this year.

All this panic is the same stuff that happened last year at the same time ... sorry, but I just can't get drawn into the pessimism or "realism" or whatever label you want to put on it. This is just as good a team, (if not better), as last year, and I have just as much faith in them as I did then.  They've already proven on multiple occasions that they can beat ANY team in the NBA, and that they CAN "flip the switch" ... the negative, doubting, pessimistic, end-of-the-world threads have been saturating this blog, (and others), but I just can NOT be a part of it. I love this team, I know it's potential, I SEE it's abilities, and I have FAITH that they can win it all. Call me an optimist all you want when it comes to the Celtics, just don't call me "blind".

WE ARE GOING TO SMASH MIAMI. I HAD TO DO 400 PUSHUPS TO BURN OFF THE ADRENALINE THAT COURSED THROUGH ME WHEN I LEARNED THAT THEY'D ADVANCED.

We're still breathing ... and I'm still hopeful. This team is very capable of winning three games in-a-row, and I still believe they'll do it. If I'm wrong, feel free to say I told you so if it doesn't happen, but until then, supporting my team is the least I can do for all they've given me. :)

I posted this in my topic.

the beatles were told by a record company that they "didn't like their sound and guitar music is on the way out".

Michael jordan was cut from his high school basketball team.

Thomas edison was told he was "too stupid to learn anything".

Walt disney was fired from a newspaper because he "lacked imagination and had no original ideas".

Abraham lincoln's fiance died, he failed in business twice, had a nervous breakdown and was defeated in 8 elections.

And this video got me pumped way up..
