CMan that actually is a pretty cool idea.

Walta and captain, technical for you both. Not very captain like.

This officiating truly is horrific. I hate NBA refs
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

It could be worse, Donaghy could be there to help with the spread  8)

9 technichals on the celtics tonight? hmmm thats pretty bad

on both teams combined. the magic have 3 by my count, we have 6.

EDIT: actually thats wrong, its 4 to 5.

van gundy, DH, lewis, and a defensive 3 seconds for the magic.

Perk, sam x2, KG, and rondo for us.

  • Let's Go Celtics
Magic are a little banged up but they were still playing well.  Nice to take down one of the top teams in the East.

Backcourt did what they should/needed to do for us tonight.  Solid performances from Ray and Rajon.  Paul was back on form offensively and another double digit rebound night for Perk.  This is a nice little roll our boys are on here.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Curious....what's the record for most techs ever given (teams combined) in a single game?

Sam got two techs from the bench. When's the last time that happened?

Refs, you can stop the bogus techs anytime now. Is there an anti-Celtic bias among the refs?

This team is really starting to gel the last couple of weeks.  Tonight's game, except for that awful 2nd quarter stretch, looked like a more efficient, relaxed version of one of last year's blowouts.  Between that and our nearly effortless closeout of Charlotte in the last few minutes, we're playing Spurs-like basketball, and that makes our prospects look very good.  Turnovers are way down lately too.  I'm really happy with the last few games by this squad.

Unfortunately, I think there's a pro-trash talking bias among most of our players now that we're the champs.  But the trigger seems to be getting quicker by the game.

Quick question did we tie our best winning streak from last season or did they get to 10?

This has been my thinking, especially with the "close wins".  Every team comes to play hard because they are playing the champs.  For whatever reason, we let some teams stick around longer than we should (Charlotte, for example).  It reminds me of a few years back when the Cs were terrible but we would get really excited when we "played even with the champs for 3 quarters", because all that meant was that we needed to "play like that for 4 quarters"...

BTW, what did Cassell get the double technical for?

ya ok, the techs on perk are officially getting ridiculous. I mean, i'll be the first to call him out for stupid ones, like the pushing and yapping, but what was that one for? Being right?

the dude under the basket, who called it a block, T'd him up for saying it hit the glass, which was THE CORRECT CALL which was in fact made by the other official.

So perk basically got a tech right there because the official who missed it was embarrassed and can't yell at the other ref so he took it out on perk.

now, in a perfect world, perk shuts his mouth, bout honestly, thats not a tech on 99% of the league right now.

good message NBA.

The NBA where amazing happens  ::)

Rasheed is right sometimes too. That doesn't mean you shouldn't shut up. Perk has become a joke, because he regularly complains about good calls. Perk is like Dunk, except louder, complaining on every call by default.

Nope, got to 10 from March 15th - April 8th last year.  Remarkable that we went 66-16 with only a single 10 game winning streak.

TP thanks that truly is amazing, it will be interesting to see if we can get 11 in a row, I like our schedule after the Portland game.  Is there like a tracker that shows us compared to last year W/L wise?
