We have been short on bigs all season. A team needs at least 6, as Wiley's post reflects. We have never had more than 5 on our roster.
Garnett -- Perkins -- Powe -- Davis -- Scalabrine -- Moore/O'Bryant
That sixth big man was very weak for the first 2/3rds of the season ... but there's enough depth there.
The team is just carrying too many injuries -- team's cant protect themselves from the injuries Boston are suffering from.
I don't count Veal. Neither did Wiley, whose post I commented on. A rebound-free player can't count as a big.
Bigs: Perkins, Garnett, McDyess, Baby, Hansborough (via Danny magic), Powe (1 year of rehab)
Mediums: Pierce, Walker, Giddens, Scal
I think it's worth counting Brian Scalabrine as a big man. He has given the club good service, particularly at power forward, when called upon over the past two seasons.
How's your "I don't believe for one second that Baby will get $5 million" theory doing these days?
The continued absence of Kevin Garnett has put a dampener on that. Unfortunately, Davis has a legitimate shot at that type of money now.
If KG had of returned in time, I do not think Davis would have had any hope at that type of money.
