Some of you may remember me, I once was a frequent poster on this site, but I joined the Army, so time was limited for a little while.  The Army put me in a country called South Korea, and guess what in South Korea the game will be broadcast but at 2:00 AM IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!  Therefore I hate South Korea.  I might be up for it, but man I need my sleep, because I have to choose between sleep and the Celtics (which I have to do often  >:() I hate south Korea.

They put you in South Korea? Man, US really wants to be everywhere.

I'm from Croatia and today game starts at 7 PM here. Past 6 games it was either 2 or 2:30 AM.

Just a quick reminder to keep this thread away from anything offensive or political.  Please don't stray from the OP's gist about the inconvenient timing being the reason he "hates South Korea".
Yup

Given the way the team has been playing -- you may end up thanking Uncle Sam for the inconvenience.

Tomorrow is Children's Day, us expats have the day off.

What base are you at?

They put you in South Korea? Man, US really wants to be everywhere.

I think South Korea is right up there as far as foreign deployments.  It seems like there are 50,000+ here.  Also, the border between the Koreas is the most guarded border in the world.

After looking it up here it is from Wiki

Iraq 170,000
Germany 63,958
Japan 48,844
South Korea 26,777
Afghanistan 19,500

Yes I know that.
But isn't US gov. in recent years trying to boost their diplomatic relationship with the northens, and in the same time pumping borders with soldiers isn't quite right IMO

The U.S. hasn't been too happy with the NKs for a while, I can't blame them, but any further discussion of this will get into politics, and the mods don't like it.

Personally, living in SoKo is great.  Downside is that all the night games back home happen in the morning, but I get to watch more Celtics games than I did when I lived in Southern Illinois, especially when they're on the West Coast.  The Super Bowl sucked because I called in sick to work, it ended around lunch time, and I felt so terrible I just went to work anyway.

Thanks for keeping it discrete.

For everybody else, one more reminder:  no political comments.  I edited the title of this thread so that it wouldn't be quite so attractive to those wishing to make a political statement.

Welcome to my world. Every time I've been watching the Celts, besides from a few sundays like this one, I've been up from 1.30 AM earliest, to latest at 4.30 AM (And that's when the game starts!). I absolutely love these sunday games, as it gives me a chance of following the celts, without being totally wasted the following day - But at the same time I share your frustration. Hope you were able to stay awake during the half-time, usually my biggest problem :)
