This offense is absolutely awful.  Rondo making a ridiculous pass.  Players running into each other.  Pierce making another boneheaded turnover after hitting two straight shots.  You need to execute in a game like this.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I love how quickly Rondo is getting the ball up and into their halfcourt offense. He's getting the ball up the three point line in about three seconds. No dawdling around once he gets there either, he's looking to start the offense right away. Great stuff.

Wasted quarter.  It's a travesty that we're tied right now.

That was definitely a goal tend.

Bad call, worse quarter by the Celts.  Feels like were down by 10.  The energy is there, we just need to execute offensively and we'll be okay.  I feel like we're close to putting it all together.  A good quarter here would be great, go into the half up 8 or 10 seems realistic.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

GOALTENDING

Either way that wasn't great quarter at all. The defense has been pretty good overall, the Pistons aren't getting to the basket.

Boston needs to stop the stupid mistakes on both ends. It's the only reason we aren't up 10+

Rondo needs to play straight up defense.  I'm tired of him trying to stick his hand in the face of the offensive player.  My read is that he doesn't have good balance to play defense in that posture.

Very unimpressed right now.  We're beating ourselves with stupid turnovers and defensive 3 second violations and clear path fouls.

Rondo is scaring me already.  He needs to stop with these fancy and careless passes.

In regards to the goal tend, when Kenny Mauer is on the court the Celtics will never get the benefit of the doubt. Whenever I see him or Violet Palmer I know it's going to a roller coaster ride of stupidity.

Possession is so important in basketball, and especially in the playoffs. The Celtics have single handedly kept Detroit in this game. Doc needs to settle them down and get them to run their plays and stop improvising.

I'd actually yank Rondo to begin the 2nd quarter, see if we can get better flow from Cassell.

Mark Jackson is wrong, that was a goaltend but what do you expect from a Knick?

We're beating ourselves. Stupid turnovers and fouls. Decent D but bad Offense.

I hope we come out this quarter aggressive. Gotta stop making careless mistakes and turnovers. Being up by 10 at half will be great.
