I just donīt see how Ed Macauley can be placed over a guy who won 10 titles with the Cīs, and led the team to 4 NBA finals in 5 years as a coach.

Because Macauley was a superstar, and Jones was a role player.

Yes, Jones is in the Hall of Fame, but doesn't that have more to do with his teammates?

I mean, there aren't a lot of other guys in the Hall of Fame who averaged 7.4 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 64.7 FT%, and 38.7% FG% over the course of their careers.  Sure, he was a good defender and a good "glue" guy for a lot of championship teams.  However, I think numbers do matter to some extent, and Jones' don't add up.
Now there are some #'s which makes DJ's case for the hall simple as can be!

I know the numbers, I just think if weīre talking about the "greatest Celtics", Jones` achievements as a coach can`t be overlooked. He won 8 titles as a player, and two as the head coach with the Celtics. He won on every level (NCAA, Olympic Gold). Heīs a HOFer as player and coach. He definitly has a strong case for this list and should be considered for one of the next spots, imho.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
