Seems pretty fair to me.  Kemba at 20.

A few oddities...Klay seems way too low for warriors.  C's at :
Kemba 20
JT at 35
GH at 59
JB at 68
MS at 82.

Simmons and Siakam seemed a little high.

Compared to last year:

Kemba 20 now, last year 32
JT at 35 now, last year 39
GH at 59, last year 25
JB at 68, last year 47
MS at 82, last year snub

Former C's.

Rozier not listed snub, last year 82
Horford at 18 now, last year 16
Irving at 15 now, last year 17

Last year 2 top 20 players, 3 in the top 25, 5 in the top 50, 6 in the top 100.
This year 1 top 20 player, 2 in the top 50, 5 in the top 100.

Huge drop off in expectations from last year to this year, still excited for the season though, just slightly different expectations going in.

Edit:  Also there's 25 snubs

Kanter (last year also snub), Marcus Morris (last year not listed), and Rozier (last year #82) made that list.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Klay is hurt and is barely going to play this year.

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

Right, and KD not even listed, for same reason.

Maybe it is only me, does Tatum at 35 seem high?

Personally,  I think it's fair.  About where he was last year (#39).  And he didn't really do anything to hurt or help his status, pretty much stayed the same showing some improvement in the basic counting stats, but didn't take the leap everybody was hoping for.

Kind of right  back in the same spot, now this is the year he's going to take the leap (especially with Kyrie/Horford/Mook/Rozier gone).

Also helps that guys ahead of him last year fell off the list completely (Wall, Durant) or downgraded due to injuries (Oladipo, Thompson).

Who do you think should be ahead of him?  Maybe Vucevic, Hield, Murray, Russell, Porzingis?  Arguments can be made reshuffling any number of guys, but they all have their question marks.  Overall I think Tatum's ranking is fair.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Watching last season, this summer, and reading national journalists and podcasts has tempered my ranking of our players.

Interesting podcast interview on Lowe Post (Zach Lowe), with David Epstein, author of the highly acclaimed "Range."

Epstein points out how GMs have a tendency due to the amount of time they spend on developing their own players, to assess a higher value to them.  I think we as fans do the same thing. We spend so many times reading, and writing, things about the Celtic players, and watching them play, that we tend to inflate their value relative to other players.  Watching the USA team play gave me better context to compare our guys versus the other players on their team.

His book sounds interesting, I plan to read it soon.
