Celts up by 1. Spol calls timeout. Heat go on a 6-0 run
Yeah, that was absolutely the turning point.

It almost seemed like the Celtics came out of that TO thinking that the Heat would roll over.

Lots of turnovers and terrible shots from that point on.

I'm surprised people still think we're the better team.  We're clearly not.  "Better" teams out-execute their opponent in the 4th quarter.

"Better" teams are not down 3-1. They would be mentally prepared, disciplined, and absolutely dominating the game for 48 minutes.
Imagine actually thinking this. You know a championship was won down 3-1 right?

I don’t think Brad Stevens will ever get this team to the finals.

Ultimately up to the players but yeah at some point it’s gonna fall on brad and maybe rightly so as far as getting over finals hump

Well, look at the bright side.

The season starts again by early January 2021.

If you're a Pats fan you have Cam to look forward to.

If you're a WASH fan, you have Chase Young to look forward to.

For reals. Pretty sure Patriots football (or whatever sports team you're a fan of) is currently more exciting than this dreadful playoff Celtics team.

You're kidding, right? This whole last week plus has been the Boston choke show. Maybe Cam will come around - I am certainly a fan and will watch all of the games - but not exactly psyched with how Sunday's game went.

Ainge choked too lol

Instead of trading the 20 to 76ers... he could have packed that with 14 to beat Heat for Herro. The guy they were preparing to draft

Heat had zero interest to trade with Danny)
You may think about Hornets, but remember Kaminsky...

Must pull a Nuggets

But I dont have much trust in Brad

Agreed. TIMELORD disrupts all the easy driving. Brad could even play two bigs sometimes. ;D

top to bottom, this team is mentally soft. until this is fixed, talent won’t matter.
seeing this team this round and the prior one, it's hard to debate that these guys don't have the fire this year and are missing something between the ears with all the really stupid plays.  Part is on Brad.  part is on the players.

He also gives up wide open threes because he is terrible in PnR defence against shooters

Time to hear Scal and Perk polish this giant turd.

Time to hear the sunshine-and-lollypops Positivity Police on CB and CS polish this giant turd.

Give me a break. Celtics put up a dud for sure, but there’s no valid reason to believe they absolutely can’t turn this around. If it wasn’t for a career game from a rookie, Celts probably win this one easily.

Oh, come on. NO reason to think they can't turn it around? I've got PLENTY of reasons. How about blowing leads of 14, 17, and (almost) 20 points? How about 20 turnovers one game, and 19 in another? How about our "superstar" leaving his shot at home for an entire half of a critical game? How about playing with no urgency until they're down 10 with a minute left?

And it's funny how every Boston loss has an "oh but they would've won if it wasn't for X" excuse. They would've won if they didn't have their heads in the sand.

His inability to defensively match up with bigger guards is a fatal flaw.

It nearly killed us against TOR. It will kill us (along with other things) against MIA.

Congrats to Gordy btw :)
Tough decision for him to make, but it says a lot of how he feels about the Celtics organization and this team.

He'd be alright if we weren't overly reliant on switching. Reminds me of a game against Dallas years ago where Kyrie kept switching onto Harrison Barnes only to give up easy bucket after easy bucket.

Meanwhile, Heat are the best team with record in the postseason- 11-2

I'm sure they'll start struggling once they face the Lakers.
