Defense getting exposed and look like frauds.

This is starting to quickly become a blowout loss for New England lol

Takes like this are so painfully bad. Worse than a broken toe at midnight in January, bad.

What was that you were saying?

Ravens just casually running all over them. 17-0 BAL.
You are still saying that the defence "look like frauds", which is a grave overreaction. Not as grave an overreaction as stating that the Lakers are looking like comfortable championship favourites, but an overreaction nonetheless.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

And there is the fact that the Pats were a yard from tying it and they do get the ball to start the 2nd half.   Maybe the early take wasn’t so good?

This team needed a punch in the mouth like this.  Will be good for them in the long run.

That’s too bad.  Brady getting hit a lot. Pats needed to score there. Now down 2 scores - don’t see how O-line protects Brady from here on given Pats can’t run.

Edit: Couple nice runs by Rex. I stand temporarily corrected

Baltimore is playing well, but the only difference in this game so far is a few big plays. Fumble recovery touchdown, goal line stops, long runs. Give them credit but it's been an even matchup decided by a play or two so far.

Can the Sony Michel era be over now?

It's definitely not over. The Pats have had their share of lucky bounces, too, but those long 1st half runs, the neutral zone infraction, and the totally uncharacteristic fumble by Edelman still have the Pats down by 4.

Baltimore is looking tired and the Pats look to have figured out those ridiculously blown run coverages so hopefully they can keep this rolling. Even with a free 7 points this half, the momentum seems to have shifted to the Pats.

Edit: nm on the momentum thing, it's the Pats defense that looks tired now. Baltimore came out with some great (and risky) play calling and it is paying off. Hopefully that missed PAT helps out the Pats.

Lol 37-20. Another 17-point deficit. Blown-out.

Defense absolute garbage tonight

Well, I guess it's good to have a game where everybody is reminded they aren't perfect and can lose if they play a bad game.

Concerning that the defense was this hapless.  The formula for a SB this year is elite defense plus solid running plus Brady and the passing game being just good enough.

Tonight we saw that the elite defense is not a given. The offense clearly can't keep up with good opponents if the defense plays poorly.

The Ravens had the ball for far too long. The offense made some strides tonight (with the no-huddle working) but we were done in by that Edelman fumble and Brady INT.

I'm kind of glad Pats lost. Burdens of going undefeated too great.  This should humble the team, especially the defense, as the game plan for the tough part of the schedule.

I'm still optimistic that once Wynn returns, and N'Keal gets into the game plan, our running game will dramatically improve, and TB will have more weapons.  Sanu fits in perfectly. He's like a healthy Josh Gordon without the risks.

Whoops wrong thread earlier. Down 10-9 at the half, defense holding the fort. But the offense gotta score. Can't rely on Nick Folk's leg all the time

Edelman TD pass to Dorsett, White rushes for successful 2pt conversion. 17-10 NE!

Let's hope we can make it a two possession game now!

Hightower sacked the hell outta Carson Wentz on 3rd and 15. Eagles punted and ball rolls out of bound near the 50. Good field for New England, please take advantage and score!
