Alec Burks will undergo surgery on his sore shoulder, and he will be out for the remainder of the season.

Quick... lets trade with them

Utah gets   Bradley, Wright, Pressey or nelson

BOS gets    Gobert or Kanter, Burke, Burks   (utah has Exum anyway)

...  we get a young PG who is struggling now, but has always been a good shooter. Burks is an attacking SG to use next year. Gobert is the defensive guy we need/Kanter is decent post option

Gives Smart and Young more time on the court this year.  I know, Utah probably hangs up...

Nice try. But you'd better get used to the idea of seeing Bradley in a green jersey for the next three and a half years.

So we unload our scraps and Avery Bradley's questionable contract for their youth bursting with potential (other than Kanter). Would you give up two thirds of your starting back court in Burke and Burks for Avery Bradley and some scraps?

You gotta look at these ideas from the other teams perspective!

oops...i forgot to mention the clips pick and maybe a 2nd rounder in there. I get your point, but I believe that Utah knows its going nowhere with the Favors/Kanter lineup (defensively). Wright would be an upgrade over Kanter on defense

 Burks is out so AB is an upgrade, and Burke is really struggling (Exum is their future anyway).

Having said all that...i still get that its a hard sell. Screw it...I'm desperate over here...  :)
