Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2009

I know it's a little early but
when you have a child you never
know when you'll get the time to
post here at CelticsBlog.
So I expect you gents (and ladies)
to excuse me 

Anyways... What a year it has been:
Banner 17 was hoisted at the Garden
and we "younger" (I'm still young!)
got a little ol' Championship of
"our own". I started following the
Celtics in 1988, so my best Celtic
memories have been few and far.

I was near tears when I watched Paul
walk onto the floor and be greeted
by some of those Celtic greats.
And when he got his ring, I felt an
enormous joy on his behalf.
That was an instance to truly say:
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

On a more personal level, I lost my
father to cancer in April. A tough
loss, that was "luckily" followed by
the birth of our son Elias in August.

I have truly become addicted to CB
with each day that has passed this year.
I want to thank each and every one of
you for making this such a special
place to spend countless hours.
I don't want to single anyone out
because I think you know who you are.

A heartily HAPPY NEW YEAR and the best
to all of you in 2009!

Youre only a couple days early, not a crime in my book.

It's been a great year and heres to even better things to come in 2009.

I'll throw those sentiments right back at you ACF. I'd also throw them at a few more posters on here, but I wont rattle off names, they know (at least they should) who they are.

2008 has been a good year for me, something of a rollercoaster but many more ups than downs and hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? Overall, I'd be delighted and blessed if 2009 brought the same happiness that '08 has.

Thanks to everyone on here who I've had conversations with, whether they be Basketball related, Soccer related or just random or personal chit-chat. Good gestures don't go unnoticed and the good conversations are always welcome and appreciated.

Thanks to the competitors and commissioner of the 2008 CelticBlog draft. That was a great time-killer in the off-season and I look forward to building a contender to win it all next year.

I'll wish a Happy and Healthy New Year to all of you, this is a great place to come for useful discussion on pretty much any subject with hugely insightful posters, great thinkers and genuinely good natured people. Take care and God Bless in '09.

i want to wish everyone a healthy and happy new year as well.  2008 was an up and down year for me as well. i had a miscarriage and some health issues.....but the aforementioned things made our family even closer, plus i had an unbelievably fun trip to disney world......and was at all the playoff/finals games and witnessed firsthand #17.

there are a lot of great people on the blog, and to reiterate what maestro mentioned, the people i am close with know who they are, so i wont rattle off names.
