The release of Sullinger does suggest something serious is in the works.'

Kind of amusing, though. This guy apparently doesn't gather that the youth movement crowd, already upset about Horford, isn't going to like any trade that involves their beloved draft picks.

LOL.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Tweet coming from this guy in three days: "Celts were close on a blockbuster deal but talks have slowed. No longer expecting anything big."

Dan, to save a little time, you can just copy and paste that if you wish.

If the Celtics are gaining traction on a deal, then I hope it's Boogie Cousins.  A distant second would be Griffin.

I really hope it's not Hayward.  That guy wouldn't put us over the top of anything..

Wyc did say the price of a "difficult" player was lower post-draft. This with the waving of Sully, even though we insist we need a big-bodied C would let me lean to Cousins. Sacramento has also drafted PG and Skal, to add to WCS giving them 3 shots at a DMC replacement.  This would be a deal centered around 2017 Nets swap, Bradley and a young guard throw-in... maybe Rozier... since his value has sky-rocketed.

If this is the move, Ainge is a genius... our roster would be immediately balanced but still maintain high upside young players... even if we lost the brightest one

Last week on CSN Felger said one of the guys at 98.5 who has some good connections with the Celtics. Told him that it was Cousins, for what it's worth.

Ugh, I would be OK with Cousins or Griffin but please stop talking about the Brow. He is my favorite player and I would do actual cartwheels if its him.

I'm going with it's no one. This guy has zero credibility.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

who dat?

Apparently a boston radio show host? i'm not from the area so I don't know the guy.  I just saw it on twitter and thought it was interesting.

There are only a few players I think most fans would be be universally happy about. Griffin would be close. Anthony Davis would be one but that is a snowballs chance in hell lol.
Who knows if this guy actually knows what people would be happy with.  Reach out to him via twitter and ask if by "star player" he means someone who has actually made an all-star team.  He could just be referring to Rudy Gay or Danillo Gallinari for all we know.  That's two guys this fanbase has wanted in the past.

lol.
What a tool. BTW really diagree on Okafor bc imo he would be amazing here and wish we got him.

Me too, man.  Me too.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

Wyc and Danny have been building up to this. They better not disappoint. Many fans didn't like the #3 pick--and still don't. A Griffin or Cousins might do it. God knows they need another  force up front, or Horford is going to get swallowed up.

This should be easy to guess. He says every Celtics fan will like him. That rules out almost every player past present or future. Clearly it's Anthony Davis. Anyone not like him? Come on, own up..

I don't like him.

Guess it must be Towns.

I would love this. This is my dream scenario if we don't give up marcus or brown.  crowder, amir and picks would do it and throw in one of our young guards and big men. If we trade Brown we better go hard after Hayward.

Whether it actually happens just more rumors at this point.

First of all if he's spent any time on Celticsblog there is no player that everyone would like...lol But if you look at them dumping Sully, Rozier's extended minutes in summer league and him and maybe Young being kept out last night.....There's a gaping hole on this team for a rebounder.
