Oh well, you can't lose them all  :P

It's hard to draw conclusions when you play a D-league team but Rondo looked really good, almost a triple double. Really encouraging.
Also, if Green played like this every night he would be an all star.

If I am not wrong, 7th in reverse standings after this win. Win against Kings will destroy our tank completely :)

We dropped all the way to 7 on the tank standings.

Tank time is over

Rondo s back

Playoff Time is back........

22 years of being. 35 win a year team........ahead

No mor tanking and no more stars

TP! I didn't realize until reading this post just how long lasting the effects of our draft position this year will be. Wow. 22 years. :(

Yep. The celtics should settle in around 5 or 6 when it is all said and done. With rondo back they are better than Cleveland, Philly, Milwaukee and orlando.

With cousins back, i think Sacramento is going to win some games. And then Utah is better than their record, and improving steadily with a real point guard on their team in Burke.

I see the team finishing 4 or 5 because Danny will trade a few vets(Bass, Green and maybe hump) but I think we end up with a top 5 pick.

Naw, i think the celtics will be right where they have been all along, playing .333 ball, winning 1 out of every 3 games.

In order to make the playoffs they would have to finish the season with a 18-14 record.

Nah it won't, this is an easy stretch for us. We're still due in for a lot of losses in the coming months against actual teams.

I'd say this team's ceiling is 30 wins which would destroy the tank unless we're 08 Bulls. Wouldn't surprise me if we finish with less even if we're already at 17. Season is more than halfway over and we're still inconsistent. Some good pieces, but not a great roster, and once DA sells at the deadline we'll be even worse. Can't play Philly every night

i miss Pressey.

Rondo having another decent game but is reminding me of the version that i hate. Just pounding the ball all night long and players standing around.

If he is healthy and this is the way its going to go again (continuing from last year), i don't mind if Danny trades him.

Rondo has been fantastic tonight! I saw lots of nice transition offense, speedy movement in the half court, and some pounding. A good mix.

he is walking up with the ball almost every possession. Hurry it up a little geez

Most elite point guards need to slow it down and pound the ball up the court for a good chunk of the game. No need to run when the defense is already set.

Chris Paul does this, tony Parker, etc.

Do you really want to see Pressey playing over rondo?

I want to see Rondo play properly. With intensity

Paul and Parker do not walk it up almost every possesion. Parker especially is increasing the speed for SA

With Parker as point guard the Spurs have more years near the bottom of the league in pace than they have near the top. They had a couple of years recently where they played quickly but that was a big change from what they've done for most of Parker's career.

Once again I'm excited by Sully. It's clear he was dealing with injuries during those bad games, he's a really good player and hopefully a big part of our future. Especially playing with Rondo now I see a lot of double doubles in his future

I really want to see him drop some weight and play power forward most of the game. Then we can really see what he can do in his natural position.  :)

He sure looks like a keeper!

Rondo c;mon. Walking it up the court, wasting like 10 seconds
We're winning..you run the clock.

against a crappy 76rs team.

Every time he brings it up, almost 10 seconds are gone. Then he has to make it an adventure to get a basket.

Move the ball around and get easy baskets. It doesn't have to be difficult
yeah, because this team was getting lots of easy baskets until he came back   ::)

why are you defending his bad habits?

I guess Rondo can do no wrong in some peoples eyes.

I don't want to be a downer but we lose tonight against a semi decent team. Rondo needs to play better everything. Starting with not walking up to mid court. At least jog up to there. How lazy can you be? lol

And right on cue, Stevens praises Rondo for pushing the pace in his postgame press conference.

here's something to brighten your day

The teams that get better picks than us this year will have a nice young stud to help them be better next year.  We'll probably still get a decent prospect but not someone who's going to be an all-star right off the bat.  As a result, we'll have a better draft position next year since we'll be worse than those teams and get a very nice pick in another deep draft in 2015 -- a draft projected to be deep in big men.

30 wins is being generous, but the fact is that win against another tanking team is 'worth' double. Orlando, Philly, Kings.. that's too much to overcome.

I think 4th or 5th spot is realistic at the end of season, which might not be so bad, cause I have a silly feeling that top tankers will drop 3 spots at the lottery like in 2007, when Grizzlies, us and Bucks fell to 4th, 5th and 6th spot.

I'm guessing we end up with pick #6.
Just outside the sweet spot. But, it'll be a loaded draft so I'm not too worried. The bigger question is what all the picks and expiring a get traded for: a talk stiff from Texas? A misfit forward from Detroit? Time will tell....
Celtics fan for life.
