Rick Barnes really grinds my gears. Turner doesn't see a ton of time, when he does he's playing with 2 other post players making things really congested for him. When he does get space in the pick and roll Isaiah Thomas throws up a stupid floater instead of a simple pass that would lead to a Turner dunk.

I think Turner's lack of production has a lot to do with the coach and the players around him. I see him as a high upside guy that in a few years could really help the C's.

Welcome to my hell.

I think Turner will really do well in the pros.

I agree.

This game is a nightmare. Rick Barnes is a nightmare.

You should just set up a script to post this every year around this time  ;)

He sure can recruit though!

Rick Barnes is universally hated in the state of Texas, not just when we inevitably struggle in March. Hope this is the last time I have to say that. He has recruited some great guys, but it shouldn't be hard to recruit at UT with the number one athletic program financially and one of the best talent pools in the country.

I don't blame you.  In terms of underachieving with massive talent, Barnes losing in the 2nd round with that Durant/Augustin team was second only to Dale Brown losing in the same round with Shaq, Stanley Roberts and Chris Jackson.

Yup, nightmare.

Myles Turner time. Let's see what he can do.

Edit: Woah. He's not on the starting lineup. Is he not playing or he comes off the bench?

I am stuck in office on west coast so stuck doing only occasional gamecast check ins. Does Turner look as bad as his box score makes him out to be? He has two rebounds, two turnovers, a foul in about 12 minutes? Butler's frontline is not exactly Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace..

He's only started a few games this year. We really don't like playing the most efficient player in the conference.

He hasnt made an impact so far. Not good for his draft stock.

Hard to make an impact when he plays two minutes at a time before being pulled for Connor Lammert.

Fair enough.

But you'd think they'd use their size against this undersized Butler squad.

We are tied with them in points in the paint. Unacceptable.

Tuner isn't getting the ball on the post. I want to see his post game, but I can't, because they're not passing to him.

Ha.

Like I said, Rick Barnes doesn't believe in running plays for the No. 2 recruit, Big 12 freshman of the year, Big 12 most efficient player and just our best player in general

We won't be in the top 10. If we are, we move up to get WCS. He's a great pick at 12-15..

I mean I think he could, but it is a lot harder for me to get bullish on a guy that is completely disappears against a team like Butler. Not hating on them, but they don't have a big 12 size frontcourt.

Right now he is 0-4, has 7 rebounds, 3 fouls and 3 turnovers, including a couple of offensive fouls. I wouldn't feel great spending a top 10 pick on him as some have suggested...

I think Turner will really do well in the pros.

I love that the announcer just said "Rick Barnes wants his team to push the pace and Butler simply won't let them"

I'm pretty sure playing 3 centers, isn't conducive to pushing the tempo.

I can't believe Barnes is still able to recruit in the way he does when his players consistently underperform in college.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Good Lord.

I've seen Myles Turner gets inside position about, what, 10 or so times already, and not even once he got the ball down low.

Unreal.

Not that I disagree with this, but to be fair he also has 4 turnovers and 4 fouls in not a ton of minutes...

Sure. But when a big has inside position and he's good, give him the ball. Having 4 TO's and foul trouble doesnt warrant not getting the ball when he worked his way to get into a spot he can be productive.

That's just bad coaching.
