The Clippers have been cursed since the 70s. Traded for Walton. Drafted Terry Cummings, traded him because he had heart problems, went on to watch him have a great career after they unloaded him. Traded for Marques Johnson, who then fractured his neck (I think against the "great" Benoit Benjamin in practice). Traded for Norm Nixon, who immediately blew out his knee. Nothing ever went right, and that was even before they drafted Danny Manning. Good luck to Blake.

Oklahoma should draft James Harden and then sign Marcin Gortat for their new starting center.

I want that franchise to fail so I hope they do not do that.

If the Clippers offload either Kaman or Randolph's contract, they could put themselves into a very interesting situation for 2010.

They'd have their new max contract free agent, Blake Griffin, Baron Davis, Eric Gordon and Al Thornton to build a team around. That's a very good starting point.

If the Clippers are smart (fat chance of that), they can turn their franchise around. If there was ever a time to fire Mike Dunleavy, now is that time!

Oklahoma`s Pick + Jeff Green for Clipper`s Pick + Filler?

In the realm of possibility, imo.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

What do the clippers do with 4 starting PFs now?

Can we trade for Kaman or Camby?

i think it would be hard to outbid other teams for camby, since he's an expiring deal himself, but if eddie accepts his player option we could offer eddie, TA, and scal for Kaman and the slaries would work. Is LA desperate enough to dump salary?

I think they'll make that offer -- and the Clippers should and likely will refuse them.

Edit: The Thunder could make the offer interesting by including other assets, like Westbrook, cap space, and/or future draft picks.

Hearing through the media that the Thunder will make a serious run at the pick, and the above offer will be on the table.

Griffin should tell the Clippers he's going to Europe if they draft him.

From what I've heard they've been shopping Kaman with no takers.

I think they'll make that offer -- and the Clippers should and likely will (dependent on how good the filler is) refuse them.

Hmm, if the Filler is someone like Ricky Davis, I can see them doing it. Jeff Green is a pretty good player.
I don`t know why, but I have the feeling Blake Griffin won`t end up in LA.

Hehe, absolutely.

Didn't work out so good for Danny Ferry

The state is going into mourning. Good example to Sam Bradford what happens when you decide to come out.

You end up in Hades.

  • Rondo = Good
Thunder have a good chance to be pretty decent next year.  What they need is a good center for the future (and a better starting shooting guard too) so if they get Thabeet that'd work out well for them.

I do feel bad for Griffin though.  Zach Randolph and Al Thornton aren't exactly great role models...neither is Baron Davis.  But I guess Eric Gordon did okay last year.

The Clippers should do like I did with them in 2k9... get rid of everybody but Kaman, Gordon and Camby and rebuild with Griffin added on.

The Thunder is going to be a scary team in a few years.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

I feel the Clippers will be a bad place for Blake to jumpstart his career.I wish he could go to a better organized franchise.
