i've seen 2 mock drafts that have us pickin up this kid.
"very good shooter"
"Speedy Claxton (less PG skills)"
"one of the fastest and best scoring kids in the draft"

personally he reminds me of a better ball handling eddie house.

He has a nice first step and tremendous ability to turn the corner … Mixes his quickness well with a variety of hesitation and change of direction moves, making him very difficult to defend … Has the ultimate green light to go along with supreme confidence, equalling to a very dangerous scoring weapon … Using a variety of crossover and in & out moves, he is able to get into the lane, where he can finish with a mix of floaters and teardrops … For all his moves off the dribble, his best weapon is his jump shot … He is able to get it off absolutely anywhere and against virtually anyone; off a curl, ball screen, pullup going both ways and well beyond NBA range … His release is incredibly quick and he has the rare ability to shoot on the move and while he is off balance

Junior Year
Despite an injury to his shooting hand suffered against UC-Davis, Akognon shot just under 40% from three-point range and 90% from the free throw line. Josh made 116 three pointers and 107 free throws, a 100-100 combination matched by only seven players. Akognon also doubled his career-high in steals and reached 1,000 points for his college career.

His Junior year also saw him receive individual honors, Josh was named Mid Majority Baller of the Week, named to the All-District 15 Second Team by the NABC with such players as O. J. Mayo and Kevin Love, a second team Big West selection and named MVP of the Big West Tournament where he averaged 20 points per game and hit 12 three pointers in three games. Akognon was also named the 2007–2008 Africa Basket Player of the Year. Akognon announced on April 18 he was making himself eligible for the NBA Draft; after testing the waters and holding his own against some of the top 2008 draft prospects, Akognon decided on June 16 to return to the orange-and-blue for his senior season.

Senior Year Stats:
32 games (started every game)
35.6 mpg
23.9 ppg
3.2 treb
1.5 ast
.401 fg%
.372 3pt%
.892 ft%   (132-148)

I was thinking about him too. Also, possibly Curtis Jerrells from Baylor. Both look like good pg possibilities

Thanks for the link.
His foot kicks out during his 3 point shots, a bit like old pal Chauncey Billups.  Think that means Akognon will get as many +1s as Billups?
 ;)
