2nd times the charm?

I do feel this stuff with Draymond will blow over.

However, if what Wyc said is true that the Celts came in 2nd to GSW as Durant's free agent choice back in 2016, then wouldn't we be his first choice this time around if he doesn't re-sign in Golden State?

If they win another ring...I doubt it. We're talking about serious legacy stuff here. That team has the possibility of being called greatest of all time.

Durant seems to be a guy that likes taking the easy road. (Although I'd love being wrong here.)

How could we possibly get the cap space to sign him?

We're in the luxury tax for next couple of years. Signing big time free agents isn't the game we're playing anymore. Horford and Hayward are our 'star' signings. They'll have to get the job done.

Steph is quiet. Whoever stays or goes. Steph might win another one.
He did it before, He did it during, He  could do it after.

Lakers are saving ALL their pennies to land a GS player

Durrant , KT ,  Cous ,  Green

they are on the hot seat with bron to wn now ......look for Magic to pull out all stops to get Bron some " hep "

What would really be interesting if Durant or Leonard would go to Sacramento. A team that's surprisingly set up well, but are missing a starting calibre SF. But that takes a lot of courage, which I doubt they have in them.

Sacramento has a good coach, no big and bad contracts, cap space to sign extra pieces, young growing players who fit well with each other. And they are not making a decision only for next year, but probably for 4 years. In that case Sacramento is a good destination if you care about basketball.

If Durant says he wants to go to a team without the proper salary space that team will justifiably have a fire sale to unload salary.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
If i have to say top 3 teams to get Durant next season it be:
LA Lakers
New York
Washington

He didn't even take a meeting with Washington in 2016 because he didn't want to play at home. I don't see why they're now a top 3 option. They were a much more promising team in 2016.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Anyone else think the warriors are on the verge of being blown up? I'm not entirely convinced klay thompson is happy there with all the infighting as well as possibly being paid less than other teams can offer. Also green sounds like a goner when he talks. Durant is starting to sound like a goner. Its all seeming to sound like the clock is ticking to me

If Durant leaves, klay might not be content with the fluid situation with green. Not convinced the warriors want to pay green the supermax or whatever crazy amount of he will ask for

It's starting to look very problematic for them. Good for us and good for the league as a whole though.

Dump Haward and Kyrie and sign Durant.
