Just figured I'd bump this up for tonight's rematch of New England-based foes.

Also perhaps of note for any Twitter-folk out there, I'll be live-tweeting throughout the game over at @DLeagueDigest.

The Armor's arena looks very nice.

Walker missing open jump-shots. Not nice to see.

Ajinca shows no progress whatsoever, weak, weak hands and still a very slim frame.

Walker dominating the 1st quarter - he looks very sharp physically, no signs of lingering problems from the injury.

For the Armor, Major Wingate is showing some nice stuff - good moves in the post.

Ajinca is tall, clumsy and awkward. Doesn't look better than James Cripe. Better flopper, maybe.

West can defend, run and dunk. Can he develop any kind of offensive weapon for the half-court set? If so, no reason why he can't play in the NBA.

Did he go down easily on that second Cripe offensive foul or what? My gosh.

Indeed. But he's so frail that I won't rule out the hypothesis he just got out of balance.

Maine's defence is overwhelming Springfield. The Red Claws are a vastly superior team. Good move by Walker right now.

Lazare seems to be a good shooter.

Yup, Lazare looks terrific.

I have yet to figure out what there is to like about Ajinca's game at the offensive end.  Seems too reliant on the jumper (which certainly hasn't been falling too night), lacks strength, doesn't appear to have great hands...

I remember Ajinca showing a decent jumper in youth tournaments - although tonight not even the form looks particularly good. Other than that, he can't do anything. Have the Bobcats picked the option on his contract? The kid is still young, but I think they have a bust in their hands. At this level he's still a tremendous defensive intimidator, but NBA bigs would eat him alive.

Nice fluff piece on Dee Brown. I remember arguing that he was better than Isiah Thomas. I suppose I was too much of a homer when growing up.  :-[

I just saw the second half of tonight's game.  Austin Ainge must have gotten this job on something more than just his name.  He has the Claws working as a cohesive unit, fast breaking and playing Defense.

The twelve year old boy that my husband mentors had his first game today (after only two practices) and that was a lot of fun, too.

I wanted to mention that the crowd tonight seemed very sparse, as opposed to the Portland crowd last night, which looked to be sell out, or close to sell out.

Zach Lee got benched.

You probably meant this in the other thread, but I'd take just about any member of the Red Claws at QB over Lee.

Haha, yeah, I did.  My bad.  Nebraska's QB is why they're losing.

Anyway, yeah, I'll get back in the thread I intended that for.
