I think it's more likely we get a trade than agree with any FA today. I could see a TPE trade coming down really at any point here as teams execute their plans and agree with FA. We need to be ready to pounce when the player/deal is right.

As others have mentioned, I think it is more likely that the TMLE and vet min signings take at least a few days. It's more likely vets settle for that # once the major cap space dries up.

I hope they don't make a move for the sake of making a move. It honestly depends what is out there. This is a strange year for impact mid level guys.

My ideal target for the TPE, but I don't think any fans here are prepared for or will be happy with the cost. We're talking about a 23 year old wing who can shoot and pass, it's going to cost more than a 1st rounder to get him.

Huerter would be a good fit here. He does a little of everything...

Not a prediction, but I'm warming up to Duncan Robinson.  I prefer him to Huerter actually.  Don't think Heat will ever trade with us, although with Danny gone maybe Riley will be more willing (nah, still bitter after losing to us in 7).

Robinson is one dimensional. Huerter can do more things. Hauser can do what Robinson does at a fraction of the cost.

Hmm. Considering Duncan could barely get playing time due to being a defensive target in our series against Miami when half their roster was limping around, I wouldn't love the addition. We at least need players who can be passable on defense.

I would definitely prefer Huerter, or even Fournier, over Robinson.

I've liked Huerter since his two years at Maryland.  I don't like going back to Fournier and I don't think Robinson has it anymore.  Sorry Scal but we could have a new Red Mamba.

Huerter would be a good addition.  I've also read that Keldon Johnson would be a trade target since the Spurs seem to be in firesale mode.  But do we really need another wing player?  Then again if we acquired Keldon Johnson that might make Jaylen Brown expendable as part of a bigger trade for a star player.

Gotta admit, didn't have Kevin Durant hijacking the day on my bingo card.

Keldon Johnson would be super. He would be the new James Posey. KJ would be fantastic off the bench as our new glue guy.

We can stay big all over the court with D White / Smart at PG and two of Tatum / Jaylen / Keldon on the wings with two bigs up front in Horford / Rob / kinda G Will.

Or we can go small with Keldon slotting in at either forward slot alongside the Jays and one big up front. Keldon a more dynamic offensive threat than G Will as Keldon can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket.

Keldon Johnson would give us all sort of lineup flexibility at all times. Last year we could be a bit vulnerable if one guy was missing or off form + we had to rely on those smaller backcourts with Pritchard at PG alongside D White or Smart. Keldon gives us the lineup flexibility to be able to dictate whatever lineup or style of play we want at all times. That would be terrific.

I'd love to see him here. He'd be worth giving up some picks for.

Knicks reportedly are not re-signing Nerlens Noel. Would he make a good backup center?

I realize there were a lot of negative reports about him early in his career. Haven't followed him since. Has anything changed?
