Heavy.com has the WORST and most infuriating trade ideas I’ve ever seen. I was finally able to figure out a way to block them from appearing on my feed.

I’ve been much happier since.
This was a trade proposal from SI.com that heavy picked up on.

But not a rumor though, which is an important distinction, although I can't find the original source material so maybe I'm wrong.

I like Brunson, but not willing to trade the kitchen sink for him...

Curious what Dallas want for Kristaps.

people really need to take for granted that jason, jaylen and rob are untouchables

If the Celtics have 3 untouchable starters, then they shouldn’t be a .500 team. However, this deal makes no sense for the Celtics. Porzingis is too injury prone, and Brunson is a glorified backup.

What if we could get Porzingis, Brunson and two Firsts and then trade for Beal. If we ended up with

Porzingis
Williams
Tatum
Beal
Brunson

We would need one more player but that team has a chance

How are we doing this? We'd have Tatum ($30m), Beal ($37m), Porzingis ($33m) and Brunson (~$18m). $118m of our cap tied up in 4 players is a lot, especially for our cheap ownership

Oh no, it was just a proposal and not a rumor.  The SI article was linked in the heavy.com story (link below).  I was just commenting on heavy.com being the worst, because it wasn't actually from heavy.com.  It is a Dallas guy making the proposed trade (editor of dallasbasketball.com), so clearly one sided and not based in reality.

Looks bad for both teams. Doesn't Cuban LOVE Porzingis?

Probably less now

Mags come out like bandits. Brown next to Doncic? That's sick

This isn't a rumor, it's just one dude's half baked idea

This. Why are there two pages about this? Never happening.

I would not trade Brown to the Mavs as I don't think there is enough value there but if you were ever going to consider that basic framework, you'd have to expand the trade

Brunson, Porzingis, Bullock, Burke, 22 1st, 24 1st (top 4)

for

Brown, Smart, Schroder, Fernando, Dozier

So Boston gets out of the tax, picks up some future 1st's and revamps the entire team

PG - Brunson, Pritchard, Burke
SG - Richardson, Langford
SF - Tatum, Bullock, Nesmith
PF - Porzingis, G. Williams
C - R. Williams, Horford, Freedom, Bol

8-man playoff rotation - Brunson, Pritchard, Richardson, Tatum, Bullock, Zinger, Rob, Horford

1 open roster spot though the team is just under the tax.

Again I wouldn't make that trade, but the value is at least better as it adds some 1st's, gets the team under the tax, and adds more long term financial flexibility (by lowering Smart's contract in dollars and length to Bullock).  You'd have to feel ok with Zinger and Rob playing as the 2 bigs, otherwise you would never consider the trade, and while I like going from Smart to Bullock, I'm not sure the C's brass actually feels the way many fans do about Smart.
