Yes. That would be phenomenal. A top 5 caliber player for Jaylen, Smart and a decent prospect. Easy call.

Anthony Davis and Jayson Tatum would be a phenomenal combo.

Anthony Davis has not been anything close to a top 5 player for the last two seasons, and this season Brown has just as good as him. Davis is also much more expensive and more injury-prone.

He chose the Lakers, he can stay there.

Edit: It still doesn’t solve our playmaking, which — maybe Tatum takes that step. But otherwise it’s a big hole and we still need a lead guard. Can’t win in this league without an elite playmaker handling the ball, whether that’s someone like Lebron/Kawhi or more like Kyie/Steph.

Can I change my answer? I’d do it.

You can flip Horford and picks for some type of PG, maybe. I dunno, AD is 28 and under contract for 3-4 years. I think a Tatum/AD combo is better for the next 4 years than a Tatum/Brown combo… or an AD/Lebron combo, for that matter.

I’d be in for this trade. AD is still a fantastic talent and one of the best big men in the league. AD can play with Timelord and he can slot at the 5 easily in smaller lineups.

AD/ 2027 first round pick and stiffs

for Jaylen/Marcus/Neismith

2027 first round pick in return is somewhat interesting.. but will LA ever be bad enough where that pick has value? They will constantly get stars because they are LA.

First question is why in the world would the Lakers trade Davis for a lesser player?  And the second even more mind-boggling question is why would they be giving up a 1st round pick to do so?

I don’t think an AD to Boston deal makes sense. But LeBron to BOS does:

Cs trade: Brown, Horford, Smart, Bruno (or Schroder if necessary)
Cs get: LeBron, Westbrook

The Celtics take Westbrook out of necessity. He plays a limited role, approx 22-25 mins a night.

I don't know.  I'd need an assurance that AD actually wants to play here this time around.  Because last time, every indication was that he didn't. 

His health concerns me, as does the fact that he appears to be tapering off from "superstar" to just "star".  Still, for the next three and a half years?  Probably worth it... again, with the caveat that he actually wants to play in Boston.

His (and his dad's) beef was with Ainge, so I don't know if it would be the same issue as before. Besides it's not like everything is going wonderfully in LAL.

As for this deal, yeah, of course. I don't even care if they send a 1st.
