Great for Philly, not so much for Sac.

Sounds more and more like the Simmons drama might drag to the off-season but I agree a trade like this with Sac is the most likely Simmons trade this season.

Rumors seem to sound like the 76ers are not interested in Fox but this was my first thought for a 76ers / Sac trade

76es get

Fox, Barnes, Bagley, Thompson, and Kings top 5 protected 1st

Kings get

Simmons, Harris, Drummond, Bassey

This deal would also leave the door open for the 76ers to involve a 3rd team who could take Bagley , the pick, and a young 76ers player in exchange for vet upgrade
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

In these Kings trades, people have the Kings keeping Fox. Fox is a ball dominant PG and not a great shooter. How could he work next to Simmons?

*If* Sacto really wanted to acquire Simmons I think they would send Fox and keep Halliburton. That seems about fair value for Simmons - one talented but flawed PG for another. And then they wouldn’t have to take on that bad Tobias Harris contract…

why would Sacramento want Harris?

If there is a trade with Fox, I think he gets routed elsewhere

Cleveland - Fox, Green
Sacramento - Simmons, Springer
Philly - Love, Sexton, Okoro, Holmes, Sac 22 1st (lotto)
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

The big issue, and we have only heard rumors, is that 6'ers want WAY MORE than the rest of the league thinks Simmons is worth.  An all star player plus picks?  Simmons is not worth the all star player let alone the picks.  Simmons is a flawed player.  The 6'ers think he is a star. Unless the 6'ers change that mentality and just take the best deal they can get then no deal takes place.

Yeah that is my same problem with Lillard and Ben Simmons together in Portland. I don't like that fit at all. A ball-dominant PG next to Simmons is a bad fit.

You gotta have more movement and team passing.

I could see some teams being interested in Simmons (including SAC) and I cold see some teams being interested in Harris (not SAC though) but I think there would be few if any interested in both.  Maybe BKN?

I think this whole premise is very flawed.

I think this whole premise is very flawed.

It is not workable financially but how cool would it be to have both T.Harris and B.Simmons on the Celtics next to the Jays.

A huge lineup option

G: B.Simmons
G: J.Brown
F: Tatum
F: T.Harris
C: (cheap stretch five - Theis?)

A small quick lineup

G: (cheap ball-handler & shooter)
G: J.Brown
F: J.Tatum
F: T.Harris
C: B.Simmons

Fun to just imagine how awesome those lineups could be with 4 multidimensional guys standing 6-7 to 6-10. Exciting & unique teams / lineups.
