Credit to Ime for going with Horford, Grant and Rob in the starting 5 and running the offense through Horford and Rob. It paid off big time.
Should have been that way since the beginning of the season. DIdn't Brad ran his offense  through Al before our star players became addicted to isos?

watched on tape delay.  takeaways:
- solid offense in the first half.  decent in the second half -- enough to keep ahead when Phx went on their runs.
- solid defense all game
- Timelord with possibly his best game.  triple double with a solid all-around game
- Romeo very solid game - one of his best if not the best game he's had.
- GWill with a terrific game.  really, really solid
- JRich with a really good game.  came up big on offense when we needed to keep it rolling

I wouldn't be surprised to see a much better performance from the team. They tend to play to the level of their opposition, which is a common sign of a mental issue by a team that thinks it's better than it is and doesn't need to work as hard vs lowly opposition. I'm sure they will be up for this contest.

But...probably another L  :-[

Well I was nearly right

As we know the issue has never been how well they can play, it's how often they can play this well. They were up for the game because the competition was top class, and they shot well from 3 and everything carried on from there. They just need to learn to play the same way whether or not their shots are falling. Having some competitive dog players in there like JRich and Smartacus helped as well but if those guys aren't there they need to find it within themselves, not just rest on their laurels because they "played well vs Phoenix".
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Yeah, but since I gave Ime plenty of blame for a lot of the bad things they've been doing, I'm glad to give him credit when there's something that really works.

Brad used to run offense through Horford, that was a huge loss when Al first left. We haven't had two bigs that can run offense on the floor together like Al and Rob I think since at least KG and Shaq, or even Bird and McHale depending on your perspective. Shaq's stay was pretty brief.

Seeing players cut to open spots on the floor to get good looks close to the basket. It was a NYE miracle.
