That injury/Covid report is unreal… how is this game even happening?

The league really cares though! They said so in a commercial! It's all about Player Health. And Keeping Everyone Safe. And the big fat bag of dirty Disney money that Adam Silver keeps under his bed. aka the Meaning of Christmas. Don't question or you'll make him sad. And nobody wants to see that skinny little vampire cry on live TV on Christmas.

I hope the Cs only play the end of the bench and give the Js, Smart and other core players some extra rest. Let Jalen, Romeo, Rob and Marcus specifically  heal up. With the injury list what it is they have slim to no hope against the Bucks with Giannis healthy.

These guys are pro athletes in their prime who've had several days rest before today's game. I'm sure they can handle playing 40 minutes of basketball. Some may not be at top performance by the 4th quarter, but they'll be fine physically. I used to play 6 hours straight outdoors in 30 degree weather on cement after shoveling the snow off the court and we weren't getting paid millions.

I agree it sucks to see team records get messed up because they have to run out a bunch of 10-day contract players with 2 or 3 of their rotation guys, but as far as guys getting injured, that's not an issue here. More than half the team is getting 10+ days off in the middle of the season as is from these covid protocols.

No reason that Smart, Brown, and Tatum can't play at least 40 min. each, and Rob and Romeo 30 min. each.  Good opportunity for Payton to get some extended minutes.

Because of this outbreak the games haven't even been that enjoyable to watch because even if one team wins, critics will say "oh they got lucky because the other team missed a bunch of guys" and vice versa ("oh it's not their fault they lost, they have no one").

They definitely aren't pausing because its the holidays with ratings typically at their peak during a regular season. If this was mid-January or February though, there'd be a pause or postponements/reschedules.
