Die Hard 6.

Please let series end with a good movie.

Actually, I also wanna add Star Wars, but not like that.

I want a sequel that doesn't do the same thing all over again. I love the universe but I think inside that universe, we could tell some totally different stories.

Stories that aren't action, stories that aren't adventure.

You could legit make it a horror movie. Or a comedy. Or a murder mystery type thing. Or make it a space western again, but slow and pondering.

So basically a movie that doesn't focus on selling toys. A movie that doesn't focus on the things that are different from real life. That has a lightsabre but not a fancy lightsabre battle. That has the force but no character that learns to use it like a pro all of a sudden.

Something humble, something contained, something intricate.

So, not Star Wars, I suppose. Hahahaha

Talked myself into a corner there.

The Good Shepherd with Matt Damon and Robert DeNiro.

Supposedly, DeNiro planned on a sequel shortly after the release of the first film.
For some reason, it never happened.

Edge of Tomorrow. (AKA:Live Die, Repeat)

Allegedly this one might actually happen (and if there is a god it will happen). Really a great film hamstrung by a terrible name and Tom Cruise burnout (though he is excellent in this).

Glad to see other people appreciate a good movie that flew under the radar a bit.

Certainly hope so. I’m not a fan of Tom Cruise the person, but I still thinks he’s an excellent actor. Him and Blunt had incredible chemistry in this film.

I’m so impressed what Cruise can do physically but I also wouldn’t mind seeing him in a drama again. While I’d love to see Tom Hanks play a ridiculous comedy again.

I know what you mean. I already feel other sci-fi does creature creation as good or better but many of us fans love the old fake looking costumes and  accept it for nostalgia sake. Because even though many people liked the new trilogy they really did repeat the same story all over again , for the most part.
More than anything I’d love a retcon of the sequel trilogy. Just deepfake Han in and mention a kid not named Ben.

If you answered "A Christmas Story", you're in luck...

Quote
Christmas has come early for Legendary and Warner Bros.

The two companies are gearing up to make a sequel to the yuletide holiday classic, A Christmas Story, closing a deal for Peter Billingsley, the child star of the original 1983 movie, to topline and produce.

Titled A Christmas Story Christmas, the feature intended for HBO Max will be directed by Clay Kaytis, who already tackled the snowy holiday season with The Christmas Chronicles for Netflix and has a script by Nick Schenk, the writer behind recent Clint Eastwood movies such as Gran Torino and The Mule, sitting under the leg lamp.

I don’t watch many movies, but I would absolutely love a sequel to LOST. I’m actually shocked there hasn’t been one yet given the shows success and the absurd amount of spin-offs that have been coming out as of late. The writers have said they wouldn’t be involved, but it would be cool to see someone get a crack at telling a story involving the island/LOST universe with new characters.

Rewatching Dexter, Deb is a good character, especially by the Colin Hanks season (aside from those weird moments).

Hesitating about watching the new Dexter, in fear they ruin if further.
