Apologies for the noob question as I don’t normally get to go to game live.. I was just hoping someone could help me out in understanding.

So I go on NBA.com to look for tickets for the Philly game on Dec 1st and it takes me to Ticketmaster. So yeah, I’m seeing a bunch of seats priced at all sorts of price points. However, when I flip that “See Verified Resale Tickets (resale prices often exceed face value)” button, there are now a bunch of different seats and they’re… lower priced?

So are resale tickets actually lower priced? Or am I missing something here? I just wanna make sure before I shell out money because I’d hate to not understand what I’m getting into

TP for the help :)

yes the blue tickets are selling at face value, and the red dot tickets are resellers selling below face, you are correct.  Isn't always the case but is true now.  Enjoy!

Be careful though, often times the resale tickets aren't cheaper in the end as they have higher service fees.

Just for an example I clicked through Loge 1 for 12/1 against Philly.

Blue dots: Row 11 seats 9-10 are $438.50 each + fees.
Red dots: Row 9 seats 7-8 are $419.00 each + fees.

You're thinking great, you can sit 2 rows closer and pay $20 less per ticket, but the fees for the blue dots are only $21.20 per ticket, and the fees for the red dots are $87.99 per ticket.  So really you're paying only $459.70 total per ticket for the blue, while you're paying $506.99 total per ticket for the resale red (even though the ticket price was cheaper).  So actually paying more in the end.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

It's always worth checking in this thread, as well, since there are often season ticket holders looking to sell tickets. The rule here is that you can only sell for face value or less, and we don't charge fees! ;)
