I'm sorry, but Yanks and Dodgers should not be allowed to stack teams like that.

Ridiculous. Welcome to Boston Schwarber!

The Yankees gave up 8 prospects for Gallo and Rizzo, and we gave up 1 for  Scharber who was an all star this season and hit 16 home runs in June.  Not a perfect fit as he doesn’t really have much experience playing 1B and is injured at the moment, but I like the move.  I don’t think we are done yet either.

With the Yankees deals the other teams are eating the salary for Gallo and Rizzo which made the Yankees increase their trade package.  The Yankees as with the Sox want to stay under the luxury tax this season, and in a sense it acts as a salary cap as high paying teams try to dip under every couple years to avoid financial and draft pick penalties. The CBA coming up could bring some more changes, but I doubt there will ever be a traditional hard cap.
