Another horrible pick by BB in the first.  Good riddens!

Are players who are already in danger of not making the roster allowed to make trade requests?

Harry may go on to have a successful career post-Pats, but this seems like the biggest non-story in the world to me.

Does Brad want to give him a run?

Lol this guy (and his agent) really has the audacity to make a trade request?

Fine by me. Good riddance.

The Pats have had 3 QBs (4 if you include Mac Jones I guess) and he hasn't been able to latch on with any of them. Brady basically gave up on him late in 2019 as well. Cam Newton tried to make it work and even defended him when the media bashed Harry yet his trainer then blamed Cam for Harry being mediocre (which could be partially true but wow what a guy!)  ::)

The stupid thing is, if Mac Jones eventually starts he's the type of QB who can make Harry look good.  He's extremely accurate and throws a nice deep ball.  Why burn bridges now?

But ultimately, this is the equivalent of "Carsen Edwards requests trade".

Yeah it's really dumb. The Pats offense actually has weapons this time and the O-Line is projected to be really good as well. If anything, this could have been the year for Harry to really show what he's capable of as the defense focuses in a bit more on the TEs and other receivers. And now he's requesting a trade??

But whatever. Even last season the guy literally couldn't pass the #3 receiver on our depth chart it seems despite how thin the position was. Not to sound like I'm knocking Meyers and Byrd here but Harry had his opportunities. Oh, and Edelman still outproduced Harry despite nearly missing the whole season SMH

The agent is requesting a trade because they can read the tea leaves and see he likely won't make the roster.

Who's to say Bill hasn't tried already to trade him, but there were no takers meeting their demand. Maybe the agent publicly requested the trade to lower the Pat's asking price.

No great loss if he goes. He's never really impressed me. Has trouble staying healthy, and even when healthy he hasn't looked particularly good. I really wish Bill could learn to draft good receivers.

Good riddance

I'd rather have had AJ Brown, but both were rated higher in the draft that year.  Harry was the 6/7 best receiver coming out and when the Pats took him, he was second off the board behind Marquise Brown.

another horrible pick by BB.

Exactly. I even think it's possible this statement from the agent came out with some sort of coordination from the team. This way, the narrative isn't that the player is being traded because he's simply not good enough, it's that the player is being traded because he's looking for opportunity and a new start.
