His turnovers are a bit of an issue, but with how aggressively he pushes the pace and with his youth it's not the end of the world. He's also playing against a pretty solid level of competition

What is the level of competition he’s playing against? No idea what that league is like.

Okayish?  Dragan Bender couldn’t see the court in it before he was drafted, and that wasn’t seen as disqualifying.  So presumably playing a lot and well is good?

Thanks for the Bender comp.

The other day I saw video of Jared Sullinger dominating in a South Korean league. The Israeli comp seems to be much, much better than that.

Bender was a terrible NBA player who never took off.  Having him have played in this league makes me leery of it in some ways but some players who started here and ended up in the NBA

Quote
Omri Casspi was selected 23rd overall by the Sacramento Kings, and Gal Mekel followed in 2013 by signing with Dallas Mavericks. In 2016, Dragan Bender became the highest selection from the Israeli Basketball Premier League to be selected in an NBA draft with the Phoenix Suns taking him at 4th overall. Other players who have moved from the league to the NBA include: Will Bynum, Anthony Parker, Roger Mason Jr., Eugene "Pooh" Jeter, Carlos Arroyo, and Nate Robinson.

In 2020 two players declared for the NBA draft. The first being Deni Avdija from Maccabi Tel Aviv and the second being Yam Madar from Hapeol Tel Aviv. Avdija was selected in the first round, 9th overall, by the Washington Wizards, and Madar was taken in the second round with the 47th pick of the draft by the Boston Celtics.

Bender is still pretty odious in this league at 5.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG in  13.5 MPG   In my opinion, the guy should have never been drafted to the NBA.  Though he is shooting well 56.8% from the field and 40.4% from downtown.  He greatest strength was he was unknown....

Maybe it will be a good landing place for Grant, JK

Yeah, it's decent more than great. His team has guys like Walt Lemon Jr., and Maccabi Tel Aviv (the premier team) has Ante Zizic, Omri Casspi, Dragan Bender and Tyler Dorsey.

Not amazing competition, but lots of solid international pros

Bender should have never been picked that high in the lottery. He was a big project. Guy had size/skills but needed an environment to develop etc. he’s only like 23 years old too.

One of the great things about Yam is his huge jump in shooting.  2 years ago he shot 23% from 3 on fewer than 1 attempt per game.  Last year he was 27% on 2.7 attempts per game.  This year he’s spiked to 42% on 4.4 attempts per game.  He’s clearly put in the work.  He seems like someone who would go in the 1st round this year based on that jump.

Can you find his measurements anywhere?

Aside from height, no.  And since I can't, I'd assume his wingspan is around average for his height, as someone would have mentioned it if it were an asset, and likely would have mentioned it were it a major liability.
