new comparisons , not projecting stats
Embiid - Poor man Hakeem. When he is on, he really looks and plays like the dream out there. But when he is off, he is lost, passive, indecisive. Hopefully he can put it together.
TJ Warren - Poor man Joe Johnson. Just knows how to score the ball. Not the most athletic nor explosive player. There are no highlight reel dunks. But a smooth athlete, utilizing floaters, the back board and mid range game. Warren is not the ball handler nor shooter that Johnson is.
Dante Exum - Pre Injury Leandhro Barbosa. Just a blur out there. Utilizes tear drops, the backboard. Finds creative ways to score. A terror in transition. A decent shooter and passer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXnw2HsXVJQMcdermott - Matt Hapring with a better three point shot. Not a great athlete, below the rim kind of guy. Mediocre handles. But hustles, utilizes screens to score mid range buckets, crafty around the net and just overall a competitive player.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvWqSmfjJuoParker - to me with a realistic body change (not say Kevin Love transformation) is going to be a Boris Diaw with a better jump shot. That is still a good player, just not somebody that can carry a team on a nightly basis. Defense is good, but not great, relying mainly on smarts. Able to block shots , rebound and do a little bit of everything. Check out the clip below
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTomSLGxSeEWiggins - Terence Ross at peak. Somebody that is not going to get alot of assists, not a crafty scorer and at times goes through a cold/hot and passive/acive spell in a game, but still ends up with 20 points and can blow up for more. Super athletic/quick , able to rise above others for jump shots, highlight reel dunks and is an above avg defender.
