3 roster spots (and 4 if you cut Kornet which I'd do)

so I'd go with

Howard - rebounder/enforcer
Anthony/Williams - scoring pop off bench
Morris - decent all around player
Culver - younger guy with potential
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Surprise some names still on here as I took off some who signed with someone..
I doubt Enes will ever play in NBA again cause teams may not want distraction

Semi (Italy) and McGruder (Detroit) are off the list.
Thanks Roy..anyone else on this list, let me know
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I don't have any interest in Lou Williams at this point.  I think he's cooked.

I'm also not sure about Markieff.  His production hasn't been good, and if the Heat don't want him, I'm a little skeptical.

Most of these guys have an inside, scouted story that is the difference between them being valuable and not.

Why is Willie Cauley Stein not a valuable player any more? None of us knows, but he isn't. I know this because I recently asked this forum and no one knew anything.

What happened to Jarrett Culver? Tyreke Evans? Markeiff Morris?

I know its fun to discuss because that's what we do, but 90% of why these names are still out there is unknown to us but probably understood in detail by Stevens. These are the most difficult guys for fans to understand by definition.

Roy, there was a lot of team discontent in Miami last season especially the second half due to playing time or lack thereof, "i'm a better player" type stuff

not sure if this is the reason, he also is hoping to be picked up by Philly

I'd be interested in Cousins or Howard if they're content with a small role.  Pass on Whiteside... not a fan.

Pickings are slim at small forward, which is unfortunately one of the places we could use another body.  I actually think Jaylen Hoard might be my favorite on that list, because he's a heck of a rebounder for his size and some of our potential lineups could be deficient in that area.  Also curious what Tyreke looks like after his suspension, but my recollection of him is that he typically didn't perform well when the ball wasn't in his hands, which probably makes him a poor fit for us.

Sweet Lou still played in 56 games at 14.3 mpg last year for Atlanta.  36.3% from 3.  Not good from 2 though.  I think he could come in for a few minute stretch here and there and provide some life.  I put him with Carmelo because I think you only need one of those guys and I'm not sure who I think would be a better fit.

Harrell is my top choice but has a charge against him
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Go get big Dwight. I'd love to see Rob Williams continue to learn from one of the best interior defenders of the last 20 years. He's definitely slower, and I don't see him as a core piece anymore, but he's a nice backup.

I am bumping this although there is not much change.  These are some names still out there:

Sexton
Harrell
Howard
Whiteside
Cousins
Jackson (Josh)
Lamb

All we have at this point is a min contract offer.  But I was wondering, other than if a team signs someone using bird rights or something like that, who out there can offer anything other than a min contract?  It doesn't seem like there are that many options for guys like Sexton and Harrell who would otherwise warrant more than a vet min contract.  I guess some teams could do sign and trades (not the Celtics).

These remaining FA are going to have to do something pretty soon I would think.

Appreciate the thread 'bump', it's about who is our next Dennis Schroeder.

He is actually still out there so in theory, Schroeder could be our Schroeder again.  (I know, not likely as we have no need for him).

based on who's left and still having 3 spots open, I'd take a run at Sexton, Harrell and Lamb for the min if they've got no other offers.  Howard and Whiteside could be really helpful big bodies but they're track record of being team headaches really turns me off of them as options.

Sexton has a qualifying offer $7.2 million. He’s staying with Cleveland — either on a long-term deal or the QO.

that's what I would have thought but seeing him on this list I got the impression he didn't get the QO and was allowed to be a UFA.
