I don’t know, how to attach twitter post, but I’ve seen reports from Michael K-B from CBSSports that Sixers are trying to get Eric Gordon from the Rockets for a package of Thybulle and other small contracts (much like recent Celtics-Pacers trade). Is there anybody on the Sixers roster that could interest us? Can we get Thybulle for on one those early 2023 2nd round picks? Is there a backup big or other wing that might make sense? The defense of a second unit among Brogdon, White, Thybulle and Grant would be absurd!

It seems like Furkan Korkmaz is going to be a sticking point.  He’s owed $10 million over two years, and the Rockets look like they’re trying to keep their books pretty clear for next summer.

Can we snatch him with our TPE?

Why would we want to?  He’s a 3-point shooter who shots 29% from 3 last year.

No, Gordon makes more than the TPE.

We’ve got a 9-man rotation set with Pritchard and likely Hauser as deep bench shooting options.  Maybe we can find someone closer to the Hernangomez TPE in January if we need a shooter then, but I think we’re not going to add anyone who’s making $10+ million at this point.

Interesting they’d want to give up Thybulle for Gordon, who like Harden, isn’t a particularly good defender.

That’s putting a lot of pressure on Embiid and Harris to cover their mistakes.

So they could use a three man backcourt of Maxey, Melton and E.Gordon. Then have four forwards with Harden & T.Harris as starters and D.House & Niang as bench forwards. Embiid at center with Paul Reed as backup big.

That perimeter rotation is similar to the Rockets - Harden, E.Gordon, D.House. Then swapping Maxey and Melton in. That perimeter rotation is small-ish but it could work well next to Embiid.

I do believe Philly needs to trade Thybulle for a shooter. Can't play a non-shooter next to Embiid and Harden. Particularly Harden. They need shooters to open the floor for their one-on-one play. Eric Gordon would be a good addition for them.

Edit:
Ah, I forgot PJ Tucker! Another solid forward & ex-Rockets player.
