The Harden deal was bound to attract this attention.

There were tampering allegations pre-Harden to the Sixers trade and Michael Rubin sold his stake a few months ago because of a conflict of interest.

The Harden discount not only improved the roster, it saved the Sixers millions in luxury tax penalties.

The Sixers are repeat offenders having exceeded the luxury tax limit in 2021-22, Harden’s extension saved $14M in salary and approximately $50M in luxury tax for this season alone.

Surely, the NBA, except for the Sixers, and NBAPA are against this deal; one for circumventing the tax and the other for accepting a less than market value deal.

I don't deny that the C's probably did engage the Nets about Durant earlier this summer, but it's extremely obvious that all this recent reporting is just the Nets trying to drive up the price on Durant and see if a team bites, maybe even the Celtics.

Durant is staying in Brooklyn. So is Irving. We're on to the 2022-2023 season. I love our team as is.

We don't talk about Bruno.

My first question was, who is his agent, and are we doing him a favor?  Looks like it's B.J. Armstrong.  He's got a pretty sad looking roster of clients right now, but if we get linked to Josh Jackson, my guess is that this is why.

Hopefully we talk about him more than Bruno Fernando.

His game is similar to that of Theis.

If Theis was a scrub?

But, in fairness to you and Bruno, he did actually look decent in 2019.  He hasn't shown anything since, though, nor anything before.

Are people really upset we gave him a camp invite? I would rather him than kornet.

I would’ve hoped we’d blackballed BJ Armstrong as an agent, as he both pulled the Josh Jackson stunt and was Javale McGee’s agent when he reportedly flew to Boston to sign a contract and then Armstrong demanded different contract terms.  I also have this memory of him being Motiejunas’ agent when he negotiated himself out of the NBA.

The NBA is opening a tampering investigation into the Knicks related to Brunson.

Question for Celtics2021:  didn't the Celtics tamper with Gallinari, by negotiating with him even before he was put on waivers?  Same thing with the Warriors and JyMychal Green?

I'm curious how far the NBA wants to go down this rabbit hole.

I don’t think so, no.  The NBA has generally allowed teams to give players permission to talk to other teams in advance of negotiating a buyout.  John Wall to the Clippers is another example, as was Kemba Walker to the Knicks last year.
