I’m sure they are friends and have worked out together before, but I still don’t like it…

I like it better than Brown and Kyrie hanging, lol.
Not a great look by Tatum with all of the rumors.  I mean one might be able to loosely say, without evidence, that "Tatum is pushing for a Brown for Durant swap because he wants to play with Durant.  See they hang out all of the time."  And other things like that.  Again no evidence that is happening, but not hard to draw that conclusion either.
Jayson has been working out for periods of time with Durant, off-season, since after his rookie year. There's nothing to see here.
So him and Durant have been plotting this for awhile then?  ;)

On twitter I saw someone was reporting that all 30 teams are going to play on Monday November 7th and it will be a "civic engagement day" to promote voting on Tuesday and that there will be no games on election day.  That seems like a pretty cool thing to do if true.

Andrew Bogut is right...maybe KD should tweet "Free HK. Free Taiwan" to Joe Tsai...that'll get KD fired.

Then KD can join the Celtics. Genius Bogut, genius.

MRI came back clean and he plans to keep playing though.

It seems like that was always their preferred outcome.

Glad to have the rumors over for now.

The league went from "KD's gonna get the biggest package ever received for an NBA star player" all the way to "how do you feel about our team's 4th best player and a couple draft picks?"

Both sides got stuck. The Nets couldn't trade him for that kind of package, and KD wasn't gonna blow his age 34 season pulling a Simmons or Harden, he's too old to try that approach. Can't just torch a year of his career trying to force a trade.

So now he's back, and that team may actually be really good! If Irving and Simmons actually show up and play. Harris and Warren back healthy. They have some talent.

I bet at least one of Nash, Marks, and Durant is out of Brooklyn by the trade deadline.  Also, Durant will miss at least 30% of his games in the first half of the season.

Yeah, if everything clicks in Brooklyn, they could win a title.

Simmons / Claxton / Sharpe
Durant / Warren
Harris / O'Neale
Curry / Thomas / Edwards
Irving / Mills

That's an impressive team on paper.  The various players can be mixed and matched to make optimal lineups.

They probably need a different coach, or at least a vocal assistant.

On paper, yes.

It is tough when your top 3 players are unreliable.

I am not so sure that line up/roster is going to work.  I think they lack the "blue collar" element, preferably in the form of a big, but not necessarily exclusively.  I see this roster being a good team but not quite great, even when all the stars are engaged.  And once the drama starts again, it will be more problems.

There is still time to solve that.  They couldn't do anything while there was uncertainty around Durant and before that Kyrie.  Now they can work on trying to trade or sign some blue collar players.  It doesn't need to be a star or Charles Oakley or anything like that.  But I feel they do need to add some blue collar.

And yes, thankfully this is settled and now the rest of the league can move on and finalize their rosters.

I am not surprised in the least by this outcome.  I doubt that Durant gets traded mid season and I don't think Nash gets fired mid season.  The Nets will play well enough for him to keep his job.  I don't think he is a bad coach.  I don't think he is the problem.
