Yeah exactly. Game 5 vs. MIL, Games 3 and 6 vs MIA. Had a chance to deliver a "kill shot" and couldn't do it, and came out flat. Time for the C's to show they've matured though and can get it done. I know GSW will come out desperate of course, but the C's are the better and more talented team, they need to play like it tomorrow night.

Not to say losing Game 4 means they'll definitely lose the series, but winning it really puts them in a great spot up 3-1

So weird that Boston fans aren’t complaining about refs after a win.

Did you think there was a difference in the way Game 2 and Game 3 were officiated?

Yes, but not that much. Draymond was still dirty. A lot of examples. Big difference is that those complaining after Game 2 are happy now bc their team won.

While there were a number of calls I didn't agree with by the refs, I thought calls on both teams cancelled themselves out.

teams were allowed to play more physical this game i thought. I mean the scrum for the ball in which curry got hurt. that 100% wouldve been a foul in game 2

Honestly how much better can GS play? Curry is gimpy and has one day rest. Klay and curry went for 50 plus and 11 3s. Wiggins has 16. Cs still won. Do people think green’s antics are going to again push them to a win?

Warriors aren’t getting tougher in one day…or bigger. Crowd will be amped…Celtics need to ride the wave here.

Curry can go off for 50. Thompson can go off for 35. Wiggins can score 25. The Warriors are capable of playing great basketball and should not be discounted.

I dont think its discounting them. this was the best Curry/klay/wiggins have played together the whole playoffs.

Klay hasnt scored 35 points once in the playoffs. and Curry's highest scoring game was 34 points this whole playoffs. wiggins scored over 25 points once.

its possible they could go for 50 and 35 and 25. but odds are against it considering they havent this whole playoffs.

Huh? Didn't Draymond foul out on that very play?

My only point is that I want to remember this playoff run for the basketball, and not for the incessant complaining about officiating. I hope that the Celtics don't lose another game, but they might. In that instance, I don't want to hear Boston fans freak the eff out (again) over officiating. It's incredibly JV.

Re: basketball- I'm feeling great, but I don't think we should get arrogant. We have a very young team that can get cocky. Evidence: Tatum tries to throw a cute alley oop on a 3 on 1 last night and we don't score, but get fouled. We then miss both free throws. That should have been an easy, fundamental 2 points learned through middle school basketball drills. Instead, Tatum wanted a cool NFT (whatever that is). Let's make the smart plays without getting cocky. Plenty of time this summer to showboat.

I was complaining about the refs, mainly on the first quarter where Golden State got 6 free throws for guys barely touching them. I didn't mind the way the game was called in the 3rd and 4th quarter. I just ask them to be consistent. If those early ones were fouls, then Tatum should have 6 free throws later in the game. However, if it's about either calling light stuff fouls or let them play like they did later, I say just let them play.

I'm a fan of keeping it simple and taking the points 99% of the time, but at that point in the game the way they were playing, it wasn't that bad. Make that an it's in Finals highlights for the rest of time.

Green was dirty for sure, but he was more subtle about it than he was in gm 2.
Still don't believe in Joe.

to ignore the negative impact the officials had on the C's in game 2 is to be oblivious to reality.  so many bad calls against the C's as well as calls that should have been made against GSW that weren't.   Game 3 wasn't perfectly called by any means for either team but officials weren't slanting the calls one way or the other from all appearances.

if the C's lose due to their own poor play or GSW outplaying them without the officials swinging the calls one way or the other for one of the teams there won't be the fomenting at the mouth you've complained about in the game threads. -- at least not about the officiating.  there will still be comments expressing frustration at the loss.  it's part of being a fan.

The postgame comments from the Warriors complaining about the fans, wow. I expected complaints about the officiating but complaining that the fans on the road in the finals use bad language? Hahahahaha! Just imagine what they would have heard if they were actually ahead for more than a few plays during the game.

It's one thing I respect about Kobe:  I can't imagine him criticizing an opposing crowd for being too tough.  I have my own views on heckling and the like, but players need to accept that it comes with the territory.  So long as it's not physical and it's not racist, players need to play through that.

Quote from Klay - "We've played in front of rude people before," Thompson said. "Dropping F-bombs with children in the crowd. Real classy. Good job, Boston."

So he's ok with his PF being dirty, pulling Jaylen's pants down, dropping Fbomb after Fbomb to celtics players.  Call Williams out in the media and the countless other things that are a poor example of a role model but he's upset that there are kids in the crowd hearing Fbombs.  I mean there are kids that emulate Draymonds antics and that's ok.  Come on Klay grown up.    Let the parents educate their kids why swearing is not ok for children to do and if they hear adults do it, it does not mean it's ok for them.  GSW can be big babies when they lose and arrogant asshats when they win.

Hey, as a parent, would I rather that the crowd didn't normalize screaming Fbombs while I'm there with my kid? Absolutely.

But really, let's consider the circumstances. Draymond's dirty play and post-game conference BS was a catalyst. And this isn't exactly Disney On Ice. It's an emotional, hard-fought sporting event. This whole "but what about the children" crap is just that. And we're ignoring the fact that my precious little darling is hearing (and using) that language.

I don't like smoking, either, but if I go to a casino, I know what to expect.

Mike

Totally agree. That was not an appropriate place to bring your child, unless your child is an owl.

the garden was nothing compared to what my kids have heard at college football games coming from the student section whilst the band plays certain songs. You simply have to explain to them the situation and that young adults aka college students and some adults for that matter like to partake in these chants and they feel it is " fun and recreation" and the fact it CAN get under opposing players skin. it is what it is.

game 4 is big. because then you dont have to worry if you lose at GS game 5. you have 2 shots to close the series out.

Celtics havent played that well at home this playoffs....but also Warriors have a losing record on the road so there is that...

game 4 is a MUST WIN. must go up 3-1. you DO NOT want 2 out the last 3 to be at GS and us having to win another there in that situation. Go up 3-1 and we do not have to win there. lose game 5 then we can close out at home. we have not lost 2 in a row all playoffs. we have won two in a row twice. time for that to happen again friday. who knows we could win 3 in a row. we could break GS will if we win game 4. crazy things happen.

and IF we go up 3-1, i simply DO NOT see GS winning 3 straight against us. no way. no how.
