Well, it was a fun season ... just goes to show, seeding means next-to-nothing when the playoffs arrive. This series would have to go to at least six games for me to stand a chance, and there's no way that's happening ... the Knicks are just too demoralized at this point.

I really though Novak would step up tonight, but none of the Knicks stepped up, they just caved ... and Melo's tough talk was not backed up, (really surprised at his lack of "star power" in crunch-time.

Congrats, ThirstyBoots18 ... I would love to see you go all the way, you have been a great help this season, and an even better friend! :)

What is this?  Realism?  I refuse to claim victory until the final whistle, and I expect you to play as if you were ahead. ("If")

Winning by default is not winning!  One more game (at a time).

Thank you kindly, my friend ... I really thought that New York had more "over-achievers" on their squad than Miami, (as far as PAPOUG picks go), and that the injuries would motivate players to step up, but the injury situation just plain demoralized them to the point where they have nothing left in the tank. It all still just comes down to luck as you say, and the fun is in playing the game, and the friendship you folks give.

Oh, trust me, I'm not serving this steak til it's cooked and well-done, but you're kicking my butt fair-and-square, and I'm not about to default! ;)

Carmelo's got something to prove in game four, if not to the world then to himself, and I'm praying for a miracle turn-around!

** For those who may be confused by how I list the results, this is how it's broken down: **

team abbreviation   -   player's name (picked for that game)   :   that player's 2011-2012 scoring average   /   that player's points total for that game   =   that day's net score above/below player's average   /   that day's net margin over/under competitor's net score   //   net gain/loss of all games played to that point (all net scores added together)   /   net margin over/under competitor's net gain/loss to that point (this is used as a tie-breaker)    (win/loss record to that point)

Example:

CHI  -  Michael Jordan :  30.5 / 42 =  +11.5 / +4.3  //  +2.7 / +6.3  (2/1)

Hope this helps!

** Please send me a PM if you notice any discrepancies or errors. Leaders are marked in red, ties are marked in purple - in case of a tie, the total points difference decides the winner. Missing your pick will result in a score five points less than that of your opponent's. **

I'm going with Smokin' Joe Johnson (20.7) tomorrow night. Getting my pick in a bit early, if I may.

Here's hoping he goes for 40, Josh Smith sits out, and the rest of the team goes 10 for 60 ;D.

Oh, trust me, I'm not serving this steak til it's cooked and well-done, but you're kicking my butt fair-and-square, and I'm not about to default! ;)

Carmelo's got something to prove in game four, if not to the world then to himself, and I'm praying for a miracle turn-around!

At least you got to pick your poison  ;)
