The Baynes-Jonas matchup was a great sideshow highlight tonight too. They were like two wildebeasts wrestling all night.
i know. it was fun to watch them. i was really impressed by baynes' defense.

Me too. Keeping Baynes and Smart were two huge moves for Ainge. It''s huge for our defense in games like this, as it was in the playoffs last year. They are both worth every penny.

Impressive performance from Kyrie. Hopefully, this is the point where the Celtics start showing the rest of the league they aren't pushovers.

I think Baynes is one of the only players that Valanciunas can’t just move out of the way.  Very physical matchup and Baynes doesn’t give an inch.

OT was the best they’ve played since the playoffs.  Morris on the floor with starters in place of Brown. Obviously a huge night from Kyrie and 2nd half by Tatum.  This was Hayward’s best night as a Celtic too.  He made a couple of moves tonight that were completely in the flow - no hesitation - and hit jumpers off them.

Nice win.

And yeh, Baynes v Valancuinis is the greatest thing ever.  They’re just so evenly matched and huge.

Please hold me accountable for spelling on Val
Yup

Gordon had his best game as Celtic. Good decision making. Really engaged.

Morris did a heckuva a job on Kawhi in key situations late in game. The guy is basically unguardable but he really made him work in single coverage. I’m really impressed by Morris’ defense.

Far from our capabilities but wr’re Getting there. That was playoff intensity.

PS Raptors are crybabies. Refs called it fairly, let the guys play tonight. Very entertaining game.

Remember first meet Kawhi had 31pt on 25 shots and people here are saying he is dominating/unstoppable?

How about 43pt on 26?

(Kawhi had same number tonight, again rock solid all-star but nowhere near superstar)
Wrong. Kawhi is a superstar. Former first team All-NBA, 2 time DPOY, Finals MVP. Kawhi is one of the 5 best players in the league and one of the 2 best two way players in the league. Kawhi is a superstar.
He was a superstar because of Pop, he is a system made superstar, all those achieve is under Pop

He’s a superstar even if ML Carr was his coach. Dude is special.

Kawhi is a legit superstar, top 10 player in the league. He's doing it on Toronto without Pop so far this season, they are a top 5 team in the league.

No need to disparage his game. It's even more impressive that we beat a top team with an MVP caliber player tonight.

Yeah those guys like Robinson, Duncan, Parker and Ginobilli are just system stars too. None of them had talent. It was all Pop.
