A mutual parting of the ways.

Unless Ainge can find a way to work out a sign and trade for a free agent that Kyrie likes (like Jimmy Butler or Kevin Durant)

But, who the hell am I kidding?

Closest Ainge will get to a good player is through binoculars.

Still not sure why the Nets are more appealing than the Celtics.

Basketball they are not ...they are like. new born infants in the world of NBA ......BUT I mean its NYC and i guess when your 26 that still means alot .  At my age it means stay the BLANK away ...far away.

I like Nets coach in some ways better than CBS .....he is not scard to yell or show emotion now and then.

I think KD has told Kyrie .....Bru I m thinking of staying at GS or Clips .....and Bron is gonna wed CP3 who has earned his ever dying love ❤️

Knicks have no real team ....Kyrie will struggle like he did as Cavs rookie with that group.

This kinda leaves Kyrie HOMELESS  ;D

Who knows, maybe this will in fact be a positive meeting? It’s certainly possible given KD’s injury and the fact that AD is now traded to LA, which I still hold is a non-starter team for Kyrie to join given his past with Lebron. It’s also certainly possible given that him and KD just me this past weekend, so maybe he’s learned that KD is staying in GS or won’t go to Brooklyn with him?
If we've learned anything from this year, nothing is certain with Kyrie!

Exactly, complete wildcard.  None of the following would surprise me
1. Going to the Nets
2. Going to the Lakers
3. Going to the NYK's
4. Resigning with the C's

Except #4 means the Cs want to give him that deal (which we all assume, but you never know)...

Crazy question, if Kyrie is for sure gone, why is he meeting in person with Danny to discuss future?

Maybe Danny is discussing sign and trade?

I guess that could be possible. Not sure we want to help Nets or Knicks build a super team. Cant see us doing anything with Lakers either. Suns probably not on Kyrie’s list but they have wanted him for a long time and now are putting players on the market for trade. They would actually make a ton of sense except for fact Kyrie probably does not want to go there.

Durant has now decided to stay in NY this summer now as well. Could be they are ready to form a duo on one of those teams. Knicks so quiet in the news makes me worry.

At this point I’m kinda hoping...

Kyrie signs w Celtics, Ainge puts on his “snake in the grass” hat and trades him before the deadline to an all-in borderline playoff team.

You're joking right Tr1boy?

edit: TPs to those who beat me to it.

nope

this guy is no woj

his sources are inconsistent

Wrong; he's right there with Woj. They are the only two; all others are pretenders.

Wonder if this is a setup for a possible sign and trade with Nets/DAR trade??

Hope not, give me Dinwiddie instead.
Cheaper, better fit

Dinwiddie is actually a really good pick n roll point guard.  I bet Celtics fans would like him a lot.  He's the kind of guy who could fit Brad's system very well.

First off TP to you.  That's genius.

IMO that's the only way Ainge could reclaim his mojo after the last few seasons.  By making the most cold-blooded OG sign and trade possible.

Kyrie signs a 5 year max, we trade him to Phoenix at the first possible opportunity. Imagine the Irving-Booker backcourt defense.

I agree. While I think the chances of signing and trading Kyrie are extremely low, if the Celtics do it, I want Dinwiddie every day of the week and twice on Sundays over D'Angelo Russell.

I really like Dinwiddie's game. Plus passing skills. Decent shot and shot selection that could get better. Very good from the line. Excellent size and mobility. Seems to be very clutch hitting some really big shots. Love guys with that "I am going to come up big when it most matters" gene like Brown and Tatum have.

Now his defense needs improving but I think with a defense first coach like Stevens he could improve. Yeah, give me Dinwiddie in that transaction.

I suspect this is just Kyrie attempting to do the right thing and give the Celts a face to face meeting before moving on.

You mean, "for show", so he can give the impression he left on good terms.

I don't like this.  Let's move on Danny.
